Life without Anorexia

My motto is

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Motivation for the new week and new goals



When the fear isnt in the way, this is actually an awesome thing.  I dont have to wait for others because I can do so much for myself....and by doing it I am not only healing myself but becoming a better person for others to be around...Selfishness can be the most unselfish thing if done with a loving heart:

Some motivation for the new week!!!

Set some goals, be kind to yourself, be kind to others. Do things that make you happy, do something that brings you towards your goals everyday. Drink some water, make sure to eat, dont forget your medication, get enough hours sleep each night!

Its easy to feel stressed, tired, irritated, angry..... you cant always be super happy but always try your best. Remember to not make a bad 5 minutes turn into a bad 24 or 48 hours. Instead move on and see the best and make the best out of each day!

As a cashier it means having to be happy, smiling and positive towards each customer and its not always easy, just before my breaks my energy usually dips, but im reminding myself to not let that happen. Be more present, be happy and energetic, be kind to everyone! One positive thing i have learned though is to not let a customers bad energy or their negative behaviour or words towards me affect me...instead i can just shrug it off and that is definitely something you need in this branch/type of work hahah. The heat affects people in such negative ways, they come in all stressed and angry and take their irritation or anger out on me.... but i shrug it off and make sure to be extra positive to the next customer!

    To remember to use my skin moisturiser everyday rather than just when I can be bothered

    To try to find at least one positive and one happy moment at the end of each day and reflect on this

    Make time to sit outside in the garden with a good book in the sunshine

    Try another new /fear food!

    Enjoy more cuddles with my kitten and treasure these moments

  4. Great goals Izzy - remembering to be friendly to the most difficult customer must be incredibly hard! The other day when I went shopping the cashier threw the items down the checkout so fast that I just couldn't keep up with the packing - so I then made her wait whilst I slowly and carefully packed the bags! Yet on another occasion the cashier couldn't have been more polite and friendly, even packed whilst I was unloading the trolley! Your job must be sometimes very difficult and I admire you and all those who work with the general public :)

    So my goals for the week -

    I`ve been searching online for a good recipe for veggie curry - found one so I aim to make it this week. I`m a dreadful "hoarder" of recipes, I get them but never seem to get round to actually making them

    This morning I baked some flapjacks - the first baking session for a very long time. Now to actually eat them rather than give them away which is what I have done in the past

    To make an appointment with my dentist - something I have been putting off for too long

    - And to sort through my "summer wardrobe" and get rid of the stuff that no longer fits now the sun is finally here!
