My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Random facts about me

It has been a very long time since i made a "random facts about me" post, mostly because i well they arent so random or unknown by this stage, hahaha. But oh well.... i have lots of new readers so who knows, maybe you will learn something new about the person behind the blog.

1) I love eating food with my hands. Its almost embarrassing to admit... but any food which you can eat with your hands i love it, and at times when at restaurants or when eating with other people i need to remind myself to not just pick up the food with my hands. Maybe thats why i love eating tacos and potatoe wedges so much because you dont need a knife and fork.

2) I go through different food obsessions/cravings, and i also have the weirdest food combo (dont judge me XD), so my current food favourite is cabbage..... sounds strange, but i can sit in university and long until i get to come home and eat cabbage XD And my favourte at the moment is boiled cabbage and then i add oatcream, salt, peanuts, raisins and sweet corn.... I never said I was normal, and hence why i dont admit these things.... and also the reaons i havent done food diaries because then it would basically just be this meal all the time XD

3) Somedays i set 5 alarms and still sleep through them all. I.e if i have no real reason to get up in the morning ill just turn the alarm off and keep sleeping. 

4)  If i get too many messages at once it stresses me out and instead of responding i just get rid of them all. For example, most mornings and afternoons my phone notification board is clogged up with notifactions from my 4 different email accounts, messages from FB (can have between 2-7different conversations on messenger), DM on instagram as well as comments on Instagram, messages on snapchat... and then also comments on my blog but i dont have notifications for them. And instead of feeling productive and answering people back, instead i just get so stressed out that i have to clear the notificaiton board and not check my phone for a while to get rid of that pressure and anxiety.

5) if I can't decide between coffee or herbal tea I'll make both at the same time.

6) despite studying nutrition I most likely consume far too much salt than what is necessary.

7) sometimes I feel like I am sort of living my 12 years old dream life.... I. E studying what I love,living on my own and moved away from home, eating freely and food I love, I have tattoos, I love the way I look, I have friends and feel accepted and loved by my friends and family.

8) I love making lists of all things and then ticking off those lists.

9) sometimes I'm too spontaneous and do or write things without consequence thinking.

10) I get anxiety over far too many things in life..... hahha could make a post of all the things that give me anxiety.


  1. I`m with you on the cabbage "thing" - I had cravings for cabbage not so long ago when only a plate of boiled cabbage would do for me :) Now its side stepped to brussels sprouts. I don`t know why but I guess its happened at the right time of year for them to be plentiful in the shops!

    1. This came to me last night and I just had to share it with you Izzy :)
      Have you tried drinking the water your cabbage is boiled in? When the cabbage is virtually cooked take a cupful of the water out, add a small knob of butter and some salt and pepper - give it a good stir until the butter is melted and there you have it! This stems from my childhood when my mum would be cooking cabbage on a sunday for dinner and always gave me and my sister a cup of the cooking water to drink - she also used to use it to make gravy.
      Dare you to try it!

  2. Goodness - I didn't realise you got so many notifications! I don`t blame you for clearing them sometimes, it must get pretty overwhelming. A full time job keeping up with so many social media sites - wouldn't it be great if you got paid for them all :)
