Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Inspiring others, recovery motivation, positives of the day

Winter and coldness are rolling in quickly in my part of the world anyway and that brings with it tiredness, unmotivatedness (is that a word?!! haha) and just feeling a little more low. I of course have my happy moments and positivity, and if i had twitter i would just make a quick post each time i felt happy or saw something that made me happy or had a happy thought and then you would all see how happy i am at times. But it feels like i mostly write when im negative here, and never really share all those happy moments of my day/life.

So i thought that once a week, maybe on Sundays  or Fridays, i will make a "positive of the week" post and i will share my positives which hopefully i will write up as they happen and then share them on the evening, and then i want YOU to also share some positives. But not only that, i want you to share some of your positives in recovery.... to share your progresses to inspire others.

If you ate that brownie, then share it in the comments. If you realise you have more energy now then share it. If you struggled all day but managed to talk to your family member or to eat your snack anyway, then share it. Doesnt matter if it doesnt have to do with the post, i think it can inspire others!

Otherwise i might make a "recovery progress/motivation" post each week where YOU can share your recovery progresses or maybe just some thoughts you have or some questions you might have regarding recovery and maybe others can answer if i dont have the time to answer before them? Like a little community/forum thing.

But also with these posts it might get you thinking about your own positives of the day or the week, or start feeling proud over your recovery successes, see them as a good thing instead of feeling guilty. But maybe be inspired by others (if people actually comment!)! Of course it doesnt just have to be recovery related, i know i have many followers who are healthy or who just struggle with depression but recovered from their eating disorder. So maybe you all have some life succeses or just positives to share, or some words of wisdom from your own recovery to share to those struggling?

If you think this would be a good idea, let me know.... but i will try to do a weekly segment of "positives of the day" and "recovery progress/motivation", and i will start with the latter this evening with a post where you can share some recovery successes :)

  1. I think these are all great ideas! There is nothing more inspirational than reading about anothers progress/success so I think it will work out very well. Also the community/forum idea is a good one. I look forward to seeing them!

  2. Both ideas sounds really great. I would love to talk more about recovery process than al the struggles. I think it would really help me and others. Also doing positives of the week is something what makes me looking forward to. Hope is will all come the way it is best for all.
