Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Recovery is:

Recovery is tough, but it is worth it.

Recovery is an everyday battle which eventually gets easier and you get stronger.

Recovery is a set of challenges and the path is not straight forward, instead there are ups and downs and sometimes you backtrack and make mistakes, but you can always get back on the right track.

Recovery is choosing to live, even if that feels like the toughest option at times.

Recovery is choosing to fight the demon/voice in your head and knowing that you are strong enough to overcome the struggles.

Recovery is choosing to do the right thing even when it feels like the hardest option.

Recovery is stepping outside of the "sick comfort bubble" which you live in.

Recovery is about change and changing your thoughts.

Recovery is about doing what is best for you, and sometimes that means making hard decisions or cutting people out of your life or changing your environment or life situation completely to benefit you and help you.

Recovery is possible.

If fully recovered it should not be something you regret.

Recovery is learning to love yourself again and learning to enjoy and want to live life.

Recovery is about creating the life you want.

Recovery is about being positive again and seeing the positives about life, your body, yourself, your future. Being an optimist instead of a pesimist.

Recovery is about learning to love and trust your body, to treat yourself right and to learn to love yourself again.

Recovery is about getting confident again, feeling happier again and getting life motivation again.

Recovery is about listening to your body and doing what is right and best for you.

Recovery is a choice you make everyday, not just a one time thing. It is a choice you make when things get tough, when it feels easier to listen to the voice inside your head and do the "comfortable" thing. Recovery is choices until there is no longer a want or longing or choice to make sick choices.

Recovery Is...:
