Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Things that make me happy in my daily life

It's so easy to focus on the negatives and the stressful things.  Such as what is going wrong in life, the things that bad or negative or stressful, and it's easy to forget the small things in life that csn bring joy.

So here are some of the things in my life that can make me feel happy.

When I can use and share my knowledge!
Or when someone asks me a question regarding nutrition or exercise and I can help them.

Having educated conversations with people where you can learn from each other.

Days where I have gotten alot done!

That feeling when all work and priorities are done for the day and I can just physically and mentally rest!


Learning new interesting facts and expanding my knowledge.

Working out!

When I think about how far I have come and what my body can do now!

When I think avout how thankful I am for all the things in my life.

Seeing progress - in all aspects of my life. Love when things move forward and progress and get better

Doing to achieving things I didn't think I could.

Cuddling my dog.

  1. I had to really think about this one - just what does make me happy?
    -holding my pet hamster
    - drinking that first in the morning cup of tea from my favourite George Michael mug!
    - watching Dirty Dancing for the zillionith time - I know it off by heart!
    - watching the family of blackbirds in my garden - they visit every year and are great fans of the bird bath
    - a nice warm bed, especially on cold/rainy nights
    - feeling contented and able to relax
    - reading a good book after some thought I managed to come up with a few, maybe I should pay more attention to myself...sad when you have to stop and actually think about what makes you happy

    1. Those are all lovely things! It is important to appreciate those small things which can make you feel happy or put a little smile or happy feeling inside of you!
