Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Random facts about me

I hate when I see photos of food such as smoothie bowls and it's overflowing from the bowl or glass.  It just seems like such an unnecessary mess and for me personally,  it doesn't make the food look more appetising by having it flow over the sides. ...

Now when I live on my own (mostly) sometimes it can go days where I actually don't speak. .. apart from things such as thank you or hi such as at the gym. And sometimes I have to speak to myself aloud just to make sure I still have a voice ^-^

I can't write and listen to music at the same time. It's far too distracting. But I'm fine taking notes, studying and remembering while listening to music.

I save and screenshot recipes in the hopes that I will one day try to make the recipe.... though that rarely happens.

I don't mind eating the same food several times a day for a few weeks.

Sometimes I wear socks with holes just to annoy my mum... or I did that while i was living at home. Eventually she threw away most of my socks with holes and bought me new ones as she got so irritated.

I love trying special edition foods!

When I'm bored I can go to online stored and fill up baskets with things I want and the just click out of the store as I know I won't buy the products or don't have the money to buy those things!

I rather spend money on food and workout clothes than other things.

I would like to work at a raw food or vegan cafe someday!

  1. Hi Izzy - I love the idea about shopping online but not actually going through checkout - cures the urge to shop but without the monetary pain afterwards!
I get that about the voice thing too, sometimes it is evening before I actually speak properly and its strange to hear my own voice again
....and about the job in a raw food/vegan café - maybe you could get a temporary position during your break between courses? A kind of "summer job", as we would call it here
