Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Monday update

Study.  Study. Study.

My brain hurts. Hahhaha.  So much for focusing on one thing at a time.  It's focusing on lots of different things at the same time. And all the details I need to know. ... so much.

But I'm not going to get into that, instead I am happy over rhe fact that I get to study something I find interesting and that I actually get an education! See the positives :)

At the moment I'm at the library and I've been here for 4 hours and going to spend another 2 hours before I head home and then I need to find my way to the store to get some more food and then this evening hopefully I'll have Internet in the apartment so I can watch a film and relax! ! Much needed. .. to use my computer for something other than power points and word XD

Otherwise,  I tried my new gym.... and I think I've been spoiled with the one I have back at home! Or well, it's the same branch but this gym is much smaller... so they've packed everything in and so it's like you are almost working out on top of everyone.  Not to mention that the bars they have are the "weird ones" and not the ones I've used so some exercises I can't do as the weight will be weird and I can likely injure myself. But also there isn't even room to do crossfit inspired workouts and there are mostly machines there and little room for free weights... basically a bit of a disappointment for me. But I'll make the best of it!! And I might check out the other gyms which are of the same branch so I can use my gym card there as well!! Even if they are further away, if rhey are larger and better for my type of training,  I'll travel there!!  That gym doesn't feel as welcoming though. ... not that "my second home, never want to leave" feeling which I have back in Stockholm.

But I guess there are pros and cons to everything!

Anyway, now my "stretch and eat something pause" is over and it's time to get back to studying!! Tomorrow it's lecture time, group work and then I'm planning to take the evening off to just watch series as my brain needs that at the moment xd

And as always, you can leave comments, suggestions, post suggestions in my comments so I know what you want to read more of/less of :) I always keep that in the back of my mind :) and try to follow post requests!!

  1. Oh :( So many hours of studying. You are a really hard worker :)
I have a few questions for you ;)
What do you think about the Swedish nutrition recommendations? Do you think it is the healthiest option you could follow? I´m always wondering that are there enough research behind them and is the evidence of those studies strong enough. What do you think?
And then. Have you ever thought about getting paid for blogging?

    Hugs! Have a great week!

    1. Naw thank you... hahah i dont know if i am a hard worker or a perfectionist who is never satisfied :(

Ive answered your questions in a post today :) Hope you have a great week as well!

  2. I`m a bit confused about the chia seeds now.Do you have to soak and soften them before eating or can you just sprinkle onto yogurt or cereal straight from the packet - therefore they`ll be hard when you eat them? It doesn't say anything about soaking them first on the packet I`ve got but seeing how they go when you soak yours appears to be more palatable to me. Also, how much of the chia do you use to make one bowlful - I should imagine they swell so you don`t need much but roughly how many tablespoons / teaspoons ?
Its so nice to read that everything is going well for you. Hope you get your internet sorted out so you get to watch your series - and have a much needed break.
Take care and have a great week!

    1. When i think of chai seeds i always think of "chia pudding", but you can eat chia seeds just as they are... they have alot of nutrients and fiber so you can top salads, oatmeal, yoghurt eetc with them. But i like doing the chia pudding where i soak the chia seeds in some type of liquid over night :) I am going to post some recipes to chia seed puddings... so you can get accurate amounts and different recipes :)
