Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

What are you doing each day to reach your goals?

A step in the right direction,  simple change or choice everyday is what will help you reach your goals.

What goal have you set for yourself?  What is it you want to achieve and what are you doing to reach that goal?

Don't expect to see changes or results if you keep doing the same thing all the time.... unless that thing is working and helping you reach your goals. But often   a change, big or small, is required for different goals.

Whether it is that you want to make friends, then that requires that you actually talk to people or start a hobby where it might be easier to find new people to talk to.

Or you want to find balance with food, well than that means creating a balance. .. not too much, not too little. No black and white thinking. Facing fear foods.

Or you want to get better grades, then that means more efficient studying and more time and effort into studying.

Just a little change or choice each day can make a difference.... its easy to do the same old thing, humans are creatures of habit. We like routine and habit, that's why change is never so easy (for most people). But ask yourself,  what are you doing to reach your goals?

  1. Well, I have several goals in mind and have made these steps so far.

    1) To get in touch and build bridges with my family - I made contact with my Aunt over Christmas and also found my sister on Facebook of whom I have messaged

    2) To try new foods and to break away from the "same old same old" each mealtime - I discovered carrot and butterbean soup the other day (delicious!) and tonight I am having fish fingers.

    3) to get back on my meal plan after being ill over Christmas - a work in progress but I`m getting there one day at a time

    1. That is awesome, and great that you have taken steps towards those goals!! And that soup sounds delicious :):) Good luck with following your meal plan, know that you are helpng yourself and helping your body by feeding yourself properly!!
