Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

What are some of your weird favourite food combos?

Today I began thinking.... I have such weird food combos, but I am sure I amnt the only one with weird food combos.  So I want to know what YOUR favourite weird food combos are? Or do your family or friends have any that make you think "what"? :)

Some of mine below:

Fries and milkshake

Sweetcorn, raisins and salted nuts

Pancakes (sweet ones) with butter and topping (not so weird, but I eat sweet pancake with savoury topping XD)

Pickles with salted nuts and cream cheese

M&M with popcorn

Celery with peanut butter

Bread with butter and ketchup (XD)

Sweet potatoe and almond butter (not so weird though ) or see potatoe with syrup or honey

Just some of the weird combinations I've eaten -and there are so many more but I forget about them as I just mix food together and hope for the best!!

  1. I don't think those combinations are so weird. I love eating eggs with banana, my family think it's strange but it works well and I used to eat rice with lots of ketchup, but haven't eaten that for many years now as those scare me.

    1. Thats like banana and egg pancakes? :) Hahahah, ketchup with everything, its delicious. You can eat those foods again, they might scare you now... but you can overcome that fear. Dont let your eating disorder stop you from eating food you enjoy/enjoyed. The first step is to try!!

  2. I used to eat just butter :D Luckily I stopped that because eating disorder or not, no one should eat just butter :p Although I would make "butter sandwiches" but I only did it so I would seem somewhat normal...But hmm...french fries and barbecue is pretty good. I used to do it when I would get a happy meal or other fast food meal. I'd always get chicken nuggets and barbecue sauce and fries so I'd dip them in there also. Way better than ketchup. The other day a girl I live with said her mom would have peanut butter and cheese sandwiches. I love peanut butter to death and have made tons of combinations with it but I don't think I'd ever do it with cheese...I have done it with yogurt and cheerios before though and I was really good!!! I've also tossed in some fruit like bananas and strawberries and made it just something you can put anything in really. Besides these can't think of any. My friend and I used to have a "cooking show" late at night when I would sleep over and we would make weird concoctions but I can't think of any right now :(

But also like the comment above, your combinations aren't that weird, you're normal :p

Oh!! My boyfriend made me a pb&j (my one true love...I so mean my boyfriend:p) with tangerines in it. It's a little hard to eat but it was good! He also made it with crunchy. I normally do it with smooth but the bits of peanut give it texture.

  9. Today I saw a friend of mine eating a slice of bread spread with tuna salad, cheese, bacon and tomato. That wouldnt have been too spezial, but he put a piece of chocolate-cake under the cheese. IT looked very... interesting. Not sure if he might be pregnant^^

  12. Chip butties (sandwiches) are great - and even better with salad cream rather than ketchup.
Fish finger sandwiches with tomato ketchup
crisp sandwiches - have to spread bread thickly with butter first and firmly press the sandwich together so the crisps scrunch down - salt and vineager flavour is my favourite for this
vanilla icecream with granola sprinkled on top with golden syrup
    peanut butter and jam sandwiches
    cold baked bean sandwich
baked beans with boursin garlic cheese spread stirred in

  13. Definitely agree with a fish finger sandwich, salad cream on one slice and ketchup on the other side
    . A chip butty a beautiful thing!
My weird combos I guess would be honey and cheese ( cheddar) oh and cold new potato and brown sauce sandwich.
I love mushy peas and pickled eggs too.

  14. I can't get enough of sweet pasta. I cook my pasta and instead of a normal tomato sauce I add like raisins/bananas/... and maple syrup and cinnamon and vanilla. I don't know how I started making it but is has been my breakfast for about two months xD my parents think I'm weird when I buy a new package of pasta every time we go food shopping xD

    1. Hahaha reminds me of the film "elf" when he eats pasta with syrup and chocolate!! (Not sure if ypu have seen that movie? ) this combo I think is the strangest so far, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! ! Sometimes rhe weirdest combinations are the best... like I love sweetcorn with raisins and nuts! My family think im crazy!!
