Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone :)

Here in Sweden and the rest of the nordoc countries we celebrate on the 24th, so today is the day of celebrations for me :)

My day started with a long run/walk where I wanted to dance and sing wuth the music... love when I find new music to listen to! Then I got back before anyone else had woken up and began preparing breakfast. Half way in my step dad joined me and we prepared a huge breakfast of rice pudding (home made), sffron pancakes,  waffles and g/f waffles, crossings (some had chocolate filling), fruit salad, yoghurt and more.  So much food and after my long morning run I was super hungry and could enjoy the breakfast to max!!

Then it was time to get ready before before my sister did my make up. ... it turned out really good. I have -10 make up skills while she is on level 90, hahah. I feel so different with all the make up on! Not used to it, infact the past few months I have gone make up free apart from a few times I've user mascara.... I've just embraced my natural face I guess!! :)

Now the rest of my family are going for a walk and I'm going to make dessert for this evening!! We're also going to have a huge lunch, then watch the traditional "kalle anka" and then my boyfriend who is working today is going to join us and we're going to give out the presents (which includes saying rhymes so the person receiving the present has to guess what they are receiving!) And then some movies, games and more food :) a perfect day for me. I love all the food, I love getting dressed up and I like spending time with my family (but also have moments to just be on my own! !!)

I hope you have a lovely Christmas,  enjoy yourself! !! And remember I'll be online to help if you need it, or I'll try to be. But try to stay calm and enjoy the moment :)

  5. Happy Christmas Izzy! Hope you have a lovely day with your family (and your make up looked great!)
Right now I`m taking advantage of the lull before preparations for dinner have to begin and the family arrive. Everything is ready, just have to be cooked but I find this part of the day the most stressful, once dinner is over I can relax and enjoy things. After dinner its presents then a film on tv, and then more food! I`m just taking the day as it comes and trying not to get too stressed out - because when I`m stressed my appetite is zero, and that's not going to do me any good.
Wishing you happy holidays and and a happy new year!
