Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Things i do to cheer myself up when i am feeling down

I watch funny animal videos or animal fails

Watch a good series or one of my favourite films

Tea and chocolate and some diet coke/pepsi max

Long warm shower

Listening to good music and doing some colouring

Thinking about the positives in my life or my goals and dreams

Try to get out of my room and talk with my sister - she can usually make me laugh and sometimes we have conversations that last for hours.

Cuddle with my dog.

Do some baking.

Go for a therapeutic walk or gym session.

Lie under the blankets and feel all warm (while watching series/reading/scrolling through social media etc)

These are some things that cheer me up, what are some of the things that cheer YOU up? :)

    *Spending time with buddies,
    *Reading something interesting,
    *Listening to fab tunes [tend to do this when reading at same time],
    *Having time to bake - Christmas cooking,
    *Colouring and cuddling dog after a long day,
    *Finding fascinating quotes and snaps online

    My favorite cheer-er uppers are...
    -- working out
    -- listening to some of my favorite songs/music artists
    -- writing, drawing, & coloring
    -- talking to my mom or older brother
    -- texting one of my best friends and just talking to them
    -- talking to random people in the spot where I am when I feel sad; sometimes in the hallways at school, other people in line, or at the doctors in the waiting room!
    -- reading anything; usually your blog or the blog Lord Still Love Me by Julia :) !
    -- sitting in silence with my boyfriend and just enjoying his presence and warmth
    -- getting out into nature & breathing in fresh air!
    -- praying :)

    writing down my feelings
