Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

List of likes, dislikes, goals

7 things I like:

Early mornings and productivity
Coffee and home made lattes using soy milk and stevia drops!
Sleeping in my own bed
Warm weather and summer
Vegetarian buffets and brunches
Inspiring people, quotes and pictures
New music

6 things I don't like:

Getting muscle cramps, especially in the calves, it is the worst.
Not able to sleep and knowing you need to get up in X hours
Bugs and insects
Socks with holes... though i always wear them because i have no other options
When food is expensive
When people always want to where i am and what i am doing

5 things that make me happy:

Looking at funny animal videos or animal fails
Feeling stronger and energetic
Good body image days
When someone does something sweet for me or even sweet compliments from readers or strangers
When someone buys me food.

4 things I want to do:

Visit the West of the USA
Start studying nutrition and exercise
Have my own apartment
Earn alot of my own money and not have to feel guilty when spending money

3 goals:

Run another half marathon
Pass my maths course
Find a way to cope with stress and school stress

2 things I want to achieve:

Complete happiness and freedom from mental illness
Maybe a book.... in the future sometime.

  1. I'm with you on leg cramps and lack of sleep. I've a cyst in leg which gives me chronic pain to the point i have to hold breathe. I'm also an insomniac. i love that quote i like quotes too and sunny days. its cold and rainy in london boo! i share your 2 things you want to achieve too xx one day lets hope x

    1. Oh I had a cyst in my leg when I was younger. Had incredible pain for roughly 3 years before they found out what it was and then I got an operation (where they sort of blasted rhe cyst as it had filled with water and was causing lain. .. or something like that). And since then no pain. But I was barely sleeping due to the pain when I had the cyst. So do consider an operation if you can... a week or two with rest and crutches and you will be fine :)

    7 things i like:
    Coconut flavoured things
    Lying in on a sunday morning
    Popping bubble wrap
    When i see dogs out for a walk with their owners and the dogs look so happy (it looks like they are smiling sometimes!)
    Bank Holiday weekends
    The colour the leaves turn in autumn

    6 Things i dont like:
    Noises from phones/laptops that notify you that you have a message/chat message (those "ping" noises)
    Mess in my apartment
    cruelty to animals

    5 things that make me happy:
    Travelling to places i have not been before
    Watching movies in bed
    Getting up early when i dont have to go to work
    Seeing my dog run and be happy
    My boyfriend and my family

    4 things i want to do:
    Qualify as a pilates teacher
    Visit Mongolia
    Have a garden filled with wild flowers
    Do a headstand in yoga class!

    3 goals:
    Be a kind and good person (as much as possible) to others and myself
    Be a good girlfriend
    Be as happy and positive as possible - similar to you Izzy, i want to be free from mental health issues

    2 things i want to achieve:
    Find a job that i dont hate, in a location that suits me
    Peace of Mind
