Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Dreaming myself away with fresh fruit

It feels like i just need to accept the fact that life is not going to be like i had thought/planned in my mind. Things always change, luckily i am capable of adapting to those changes anyway, that is one thing i have learnt!

My first inital plans were to spend the day stiúdying - as usual. But when i woke up i realised that i just didnt have the mental energy or motivation to study. I needed a break from studying and also the fact that i had left my maths stuff at home and i didnt feel like heading home only to end up stressing to get things done and then having no time to study before i had to leave again. So instead i decided to just have a series watching day, though that didnt turn out as i had thought either as i had lots of stuff and work to do in the morning so i didnt even leave the apartment until after 12pm and then i told myself, once i get back ill get to watch my series and catch up on series. But then everything took alot longer than planned and i had lots of phone calls to make and things to do so by the time i got back to my boyfriends place i just about had time to wash my hair and write a post before he came back from work.... and so i didnt even get to watch any of my own series, hahaha. I had wanted this day to either be a focus on study day or a rest and watch series day... and it has been neither of those.

Oh well... the evening ended well with lots of fruit, chocolate, nuts and a caramel protein pudding!

These things: Fruit, chocolate, salted nuts... they can always make a bad day better!! And i found mini watermelons.... that makes me feel like its still summer, even in November!! Hahah, though today it was pretty cold so i had to wear my boyfriends jumper when running my errands.... i guess he'll notice when it smells of my perfume XD

Its always so hard to take photos when its bad lighting, but they turned out ok anyway!! :)

I hope you all have a lovely evening :):)

  1. Dear Izzy,

just some minor quwstion, but do you feel "at home" at your boyfriends` place, e.g. do you have your stuff there, who buys the food?
Because, at my boyfriends flat is normally hardly anything to eat, I always have to buy ...

    1. Yeah I feel at home at his place :) sometimes I go there to study or just sit and work a few hours before he gets back from work. Though of course home will always be the best in a way. And when it comes to food. ... well he usually works from 7am-5/6pm so there's not so much food at his place. But we try to split 50/50 when we buy food... or one day he buys the food the next day I buy the food etc though as I don't really have a job or an income it's harder for me to spend alot of money on food. If you find that it's a problem that there is no food you could always talk about it to him. ... or if you spent alot of time there mention that maybe you can do one big food shop so there is food there? For me as I don't spend alot of time at my boyfriends place it doesn't really matter to me, but I've made sure that there is oatmeal, quark, eggs and veggies there so atleast there is something usually :)

  3. Do you prepare that food there and then or do you have it already out and prepared before hand? It looks delicious by the way.
