Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Birthday weekend

I am super excited for this weekend? Why you ask.... or so i think you ask (XD). It is because i have alot going on and all of it fun!!

Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday I will be working for True Transparency at the Fitnessfesitval and health fair! It will be a long day from 8.30-6pm and there will be so much talking and so many people. Ive gone to the health fair 2 years in a row and there is a crazy amount of people and of course, most people are just there to try things for free and not actually buy anything. That is a little irritating when you are standing there and talking about the product and they just take a shot and walk off. Ohh well, there will be some people i am friends with via social media who will also be working so i will get a chance to meet them as well which will be very fun!! But it will be two long days as mentioned but i am just excited for them as i really wanted to work there but they were a little slow on sending out the information.

Anyway, then on Sunday i have my crossfit lesson where it will be technique in deadlifts which i am looking forward to and then it will be brunch with my family and hopefully my boyfriend can join as well :) And then i want to make my birthday cake in the afternoon (so no time for study this week weekend which means several hours of study today!! But it is worth it.). And then on Monday it is my birthday, Yayy!! Though it is going to feel like my birthday is on Sunday because that is when we are celebrating ^_^haha

At the moment when i am writing this post i am very happy and feeling excited for the weekend. Also going to give my body an exercise break these few days just when the medication begins to kick in. So no workout yesterday, no workout today and wont have time to workout on Friday and Saturday, and i know that is beneficial to my body so i dont mind :)

  1. YAY IZZY glad you're feeling great. Have a fun birthday :)
Question: How did you learn to cook?

    1. Thank you :) When i was younger i was an awful cook, i burnt pasta, i undercooked chicken, couldnt even make pancakes. But when i became sick i did alot of cooking and baking for others, food was my obsession and i loved collecting recipes and making recipes and giving the food away or throwing it away :( But if you want to learn how to cook you can start with simple recipes and see if you enjoy it and then try more difficult ones later :)

  2. I’m so happy to hear you’re taking an exercise break! I think that will do you a lot of good. :)

    1. Hahah, with my strong medication it is hard to imagine that i would even have a good workout so i need to let my body adjust first, and then during the weekend there will be so much that it would just be crazy to try to fit in exercise :) But back at it when my body has adjusted to the medication!! Exericse is an enjoyment for me afterall :)
