Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Rest day

Hello :)

Despite having thoughts such as "what do i do with all this free time" i.e not going to the gym or not doing other things, the time has passed pretty quickly today. Well its only 6pm and i am rather bored at the moment, but the day has passed quickly anyway.

My plan was to do maths studying today... lots of it. But i havent even looked at my maths book today... i kept telling myself "i'll do it in 30 minutes.... i'll do it after i have watched this video.... i'll do it after ive read this chapter etc etc" and so it has continued until now. So no maths studying today, but tomorrow its school again and then i might go to an extra maths lesson if i dont feel too tired, otherwise i'll go on Thursday.

So today i  have done quite  a bit of reading as my book has gotten really good, and ive watched Youtube videos and come up with some snack ideas i want to try in the next while!

How is it going with my throat? Well still got swollen glands and now my voice is very croaky, but atleast i have managed to eat something despite having little appetite today. Lots of vitamins and echinicea have been drunk to try to get better quicker!

Here was something i managed to eat anyway, rice cakes with peanut butter, raspberries, salted peanuts and some TRUE bcaa :) A very delicious combo!!

P.s if you have any film or series to recommend, let me know because i am out of ideas!!

    1. Hahah, never! Though i love a mix of salted nuts or salted cashews, but this was all we had at home :)
Ive made it once before but i didnt find it so filling... and it took too much time as i had to clean up everything after and such. xd For me its easier to just have yoghurt/quark and lots of toppings... but maybe i should try it again sometime when i have time in the morning :) Can you recommend any good recipe (without bananas as im intolerant to them) :)

    2. The key is to but everything you love together:D I usually use mango or banana as a base for a sweet taste and something green (spinach is the most neutral), then add fruits or berries what i have at home. And if you dont find it filling you can go crazy with toppings or have somethings else also;)

  5. Although these are English shows, I find that New Girl, Seinfeld, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, the Big Bang theory are all such good shows!! If you want Anime have you tried Naruto, or maybe Sailor Moon? But if you want crime or psychology try Bones or Persons of Interest. Personally I loved Sabrina the teenage witch though, so it's really up to you!! Glad you are enjoying yourself though

  7. The Siberian Barber - BEST LOVE STORY ever!!!

It won numerous prizes, including Cannes Award.

It might be from the year 2000, but it is my favourite movie ever, I watched it at least 12 times :)

P.S: Maybe you could do a post about how not to think about yesterday and what you ate yesterday feeling guilty and trying to compensate.,... I do this often, now again in recovery for so long...

I always recover for 2-3 days, but then I feel guilty about yesterday and restrict again :(

Your blog means the world for me, I am here every single day, reading or reading again your posts:)

My admiration and all my love.

  8. All time favourite film has to be Dirty Dancing - not sure if you`ve seen it?? And if you want an all rounder feel good film you can`t beat Grease......
As for series I don`t tend to watch the mainstream ones, I like things like Call the Midwife ( a very gentle nostalgic series) and recently finished Last Tango In Halifax - again very gentle but poignant. And a bit of Miranda for some silly humour!
