Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Ask me questions

Time for another "Questions and answers", i guess by this point you all know what that means.... I.e ask me questions and i'll try my best to answer. And you can ask anything, i am a pretty open person.

So if i missed your question last time or if you have asked a question and i havent answered then it's just to repost, or rephrase or reask the question and i will try my best to answer the question this time around :)

By this point i am pretty sure i have answered all types of questions and am a very open book, but maybe there is something you are wondering about or maybe a topic suggestion or maybe some constructive critisizm or something you want to see more of/less of... or just a comment in general :) Its always good with feedback and to know what you want to read about or dont want to read about. Or if you have any questions :)

  1. Has your depression caused any problems in your relationship?

  2. What is your favourite chocolate type? Do you like jelly sweets? Do you have any chocolate you don't like?

  3. What is your favourite kind of exercise for a specific muscle group?

  4. On average, how many emails do you get a day?

  5. Do you ever feel pressure to live up to your "fitness image"?

  6. how do i stop counting calories when its so automatic. i have to manage my own diet so need to know but its also suffocating me too with rules and restrictions and anxiety

  7. how do you think you would feel/be if you didn't exercise so much? like do you think you would use food again as a means to cope?

  10. You wrote that goals keep you going. When you reach a goal ... can you be happy and proud about that or is the next goal already in your mind?

    1. Oh , or do you panic when you reached a goal, because you have got nothing that keeps you going anymore and ypu have to find something new?

  11. What motivates you with your exercise? Do you have any goals?

  12. How many energy drinks do you drink a day? How much coffee?

  13. your birthday is soon what are you going to do ? what do you want for your birthday ? do you like birthdays ? do you feel old or young... because yu are turning 20 right .... ?

  14. fun questions: what's it like living in Sweden? how does it compare with Ireland? you've told us about your boyfriend, what about your mum and sister, who sound lovely? what is your favourite scenery/landscape?
    closer to the topic of your blog: do you think there should be mental health education in schools? if so, what kind and at what age? or maybe it already exists in Sweden?
    NONE of these is important, so please don't feel like this is a big heap of questions to overwhelm you. It does not matter one bit if you don't reply! :) I am well, not in need at all, and I see lots of people writing in who are needy. So please, PLEASE don't feel these as pressure ... it's 200% fine to skip them all! :) Lots of love.

  15. Do you know " Everything ED recovery" , this side of a women named Sarah?
    What is your opinion?
    I think many things of your eatopia are good and supportive, but this side is sometimes a little bit too... extreme...? Don`t know, because my anorexia is still so strong, so I would appreciate your opinion very much!

  16. your food pictures always look so good but doesnt it take time to do that ... like take time to cook the fod and then make it look good and then take photos? does the food go cold ? and how long does it take you to make your food and photo it ?

    Do you ever feel bored now when you don't have a job, or is it enough with the depression maybe :/ ?

  22. I feel that you are against the use of anti depressants for depression- why is that? Are you afraid that you might get hooked on them?

  23. Any advice on Laxative abuse [that's been long-term] and how to finally get off laxatives for good? I know u haven't had trouble with this yourself -- but it's an unhealthy coping mechanism/ addictive.

    I'm desperate to get well and kinda need help from someone!!

  25. what foods would you really like to try but haven't tried yet? maybe it could be like a new food of the week or maybe we could send you the food you'd like to try if you can't get it. I'm from england. any english foods/brands you want to try?

  26. do you or did you consider ed as you or a separate person? i don't know what to think anymore. if its me then why can't i just let it go?

  27. how do you cope when you are so so hungry you've eaten all your allocated food and are in pain from your stomach. the anxiety is rife thru fear of losing control. you can't sleep and have panic attacks. you eat some veg to try stop the hunger and then this makes you feel out of control, guilt, shame and fear you'll put on weight. you feel you have to compensate the next day by having less veg. but are in constant fear of being hungry in case the same thing happens again. this is me and i don't know what to do. I'm gaining weight yet I'm still hungry and so can't justify more food - i feel a pig and so ashamed.
