After a 5 year struggle with anorexia (with purging tendencies), depression, self harm and over exercising I have now been recovered from my eating disorders and exercise addiction for 3 years. Though currently struggling with depression and trying to find my happy self again!

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.
I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.
I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.
I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Just a reminder that while positivity is a great tool it is not healthy to:
repress negative thoughts/feelings
feel guilty for having negative thoughts/feelings
feel that you can’t express negative thoughts/feelings
Negative emotions are a part of life, and a truly balanced cognitive strategy will accept this (while working to change the balance of good to bad and teaching you coping strategies/self care/distraction etc)
Every time you have that one little thought that says “I don’t want to be alive anymore”… I want you to do me a favor and scream SHUT THE FUCK UP and then call a friend, call a hotline, go for a walk, take a shower, sing, dance, draw, blast your music, take a nap, play with your puppy or kitten, write in a journal, or anything else that’s gonna help get your mind on to something else.
