Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Recovery motivation

fuck calories, fuck what the scale says, fuck clothes sizes, fuck not seeing your friends just to avoid food, fuck crying over an apple, fuck binging, fuck purging, fuck skipping meals, fuck not feeling good enough, fuck missing lessons so you can go to hospital or therapy appointments, fuck destroying your family’s trust, fuck lying to people, fuck feeling so disgusted by yourself that you refuse to let your partner see you naked, fuck eating disorders.

But at some point you have to stop being so angry, you have to stop being so sad, you have to stop killing yourself and start being gentle with yourself. At some point you have to just let it all go and be happy, you have to spread love instead of being afraid of it. You have to love yourself and everyone around you before its too late. Dont waste away being unhappy over trivial things dear. Dont do it. Dont do it to yourself and dont let other people do it to you.

Sometimes I remind myself that I almost skipped the party, that I almost went to a different college, that the whim of a minute could have changed everything and everyone. Our lives, so settled, so specific, are built on happenstance.
— Anna QuindlenEvery Last One

Three simple rules in life. 1. If you do not go after what you want, you’ll never have it. 2. If you do not ask, the answer will always be no. 3. If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.

Healing is a choice. It is not an easy one because it takes work to turn around your habits. But keep making the choice and shifts will happen.
