Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Questions about myself

Do you use stevia or sugar in your meals? to sweeten your quark or yoghurt?

No i dont use either. I had a period where i was using a crazy amount of sweetener in all of my snacks, it was like i had to keep adding more and more so that it would taste sweet. But then one week we ran out and we forgot to buy more and the following week we forgot again and then suddenly i wasnt craving it anymore anyway. So now i havent used sweetener in my meals since last summer. Though i have tried using stevia drops, but they werent to my liking. And i have never understood putting sugar in oatmeal/yoghurt etc it's never been anything i have done or considered doing.

What core exercises do i do?
I rarely do exercises just for my stomach, really i should because when you strength train it is very important to have a strong core. But i just find it so boring and i do train core strength through many of the exercises i already do, but i know i should add in atleast one core session per week, just to avoid future injuries!

Do i plan on getting any more pets?
Yes i do want another beagle, or maybe another breed. But i want another puppy, it's just alot of things that have been in place first. Such as where i will live, if i am studying or working, do i have the right economy, time etc to take care of a puppy! But once the time is right i want another dog :)

What are 5 things i want to achieve by the end of this year?

1) Pass the two courses i will hopefully go this autumn
2) Get a job
3) Finish 2 more races and then have completed this "running tour" i am doing
4) Be able to front squat 40kg, deadlift 90kg and be able to do 5 chin ups (palms towards face)!
5) Have a great birthday celebration this year!! Though my birthday is on a Monday this year XD

Do i have snapchat?
 I have a personal one but i never use it... i just follow other peoples stories. But ive been thinking maybe i should make another one where i can share small videos and pictures... and then my readers could follow if they wanted. Would anyone be interested in that?

Do i have a FB page?
Not yet... but something i have been thinking about as well. It's just that i hate Facebook and it always wants to connect everything and i dont want my private page to be connected to the page for my blog. But sometime i will get around to doing that :)

Is walking or running best?
Whatever you enjoy is the best. Both are great :) Of course if you want to be a runner and to run races then it means you need to run, but dont feel pressured to run just because others are doing it. Go for walks instead, they are great :) Or neither if you dont like them!!

How do i drink my coffee?
Usually black, unless i am at a cafe and need to drink my coffee quickly. Then i add like 50% milk so that i can drink it quickly!

Am i better at English or Swedish?
Definitely English!! Swedish was my first language, but i am alot better at English .... which you might find surprising as i make so many grammar mistakes on my blog XD

  4. Aren't you from Ireland originally? Is one of your parents Swedish? Do you mainly use English with your friends?

    1. Yeah I was born in Ireland but when I was 5 months we moved to Sweden and lived there for 4 years before moving back to Ireland. So my first language was swedish ;) my mum is swedish! As I went to an international school here in Sweden my friends speak both languages as well so we just mix languages, but it's mostly swedish!
