Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

12 hours in the car and the road back to Stockholm

Despite spending around 11 hours in the car travelling yesterday when we lay in the tent it was too bright and too warm so we decided to take a spontaneous trip to the place where you can see the midnight sun. Though half way the road turned into mostly gravel so we decided to turn around and drive to 'lappträsket'. Not really sure what that is, but it was fun to just sit in the car. There wasn't much to see.....I still don't know what lappträsket is, haha. But I could tick some things off my 101 things to do in 1001 days - spontaneous midnight drive, kiss in the rain and lie down in the middle of a 'busy/fast driving' road XD

We then drove back to the camping site and I fell asleep almost immediately feeling tired after the long day.

When I woke this morning I felt disorientated so I got up and took a walk in the rain to clear my head and move my stuff body.  Then came back and ate breakfast which was chocolate. ... yup, chocolate for breakfast. There wasn't much else and well it was delicious! Though eating so much sweet in the morning isn't always the best. Back to normal eating routines soon.... for now I've just made the best of the situation and eaten what I have been able to buy. And it's worked well :)

Anyway, as it has been predicated to rain all week we decided to cut our camping trip short, also because I have to be home for the weekend to take care of my dog. So we packed the tent quickly all the while being bitten by midges and then we were on the road around 11 am. The travel time back to Stockholm is predicted to take around 11 hours, though we will need - and have already taken - a few pauses to buy food and drink and stretch our legs. As it has been raining so much it has affected my mood and energy alot and all I want to do is curl into a ball and watch series, but soon I'll be home.... or my boyfriends place anyway and it feels good. Though camping has been a lot of fun and I can definitely imagine doing it again.

For now I'm going to continue with my crazy caffeine consumption today (so ridiculously tired) and hopefully we arrive in Stockholm today otherwise we will stay in some camping place if it gets too tough to drive the whole way! I'm actually amazed at how he can drive so long and not once complain!!

It's been a fun few days but I don't deny sleeping in a bed is pretty awesome and being able to shower whenever :) hahah ohhh and not to mention I'm missing my gym and strength training lots. But on Monday my boyfriend starts work again :( so then I can 100% begin my strength training program!! Yayy... just my random thoughts!

  1. Ah, dear CocaCola, you saved so many uni days... I'm curious to see how you are going to juggle everything up with uni load added to blogging exercising baking boyfriend working breathing laughing - oh gosh almost forgot eating. And occasionally sleeping if your caffeine spree allows it ;) I have the feeling that every time you post a picture of that chocolate brand it is another flavour, how many of them are they ?!? And I know it is a delicate topic so I won't push it, but do you think you could share some work-outs/strength training exercises for the summer ? Just a little something innovative to make profit out of all this energy from the sun, holiday, freedom, bright colours and summer yumminess. xoxo Carine.
