Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

White chocolate, marshmallow, oreo brownies

When it comes to baking i love being creative and can rarely follow a recipe. This is something i have gotten from my mum! All my life i have complained because my mum hasnt followed a recipe when cooking but now i do the same thing with baking! But ive learnt how the ingredients work together and what amounts you need roughly for things to turn out ok! So with some imagination i decided to make white chocolate, marshmallow, oreo brownies.  *Lets take a moment and just think about how delicious that sounds?!*

And the taste? Soo good... it was hard to keep myself from licking all the batter! I am not the type of person to lick the batter, but this mixture? Sooo good. Though i didnt follow a recipe so no measurements, just plain old flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, eggs, milk and a mixture of butter and oil & the final touches (I.e marshmallow, oreo and white chocolate) and then into the oven for 20-25 minutes! Though as i made two seperate batches they turned out a little different and the second batch become more 'loose' but once it had cooled down it was fine!

I am hoping my friends will enjoy them tomorrow when we have our 'school house day' which includes speeches and a picnic! I love when i get an opportunity to bake and share it with my friends/family/boyfriend. I dont usually bake just because, mainly because there is a 95% chance that i will eat the 10 servings by myself in a matter of 48 hours, haha. So it's best to bake for an occasion and share with others :)

  1. Wow I'm usually not a big fan of marshmallows but these brownies look so freaking good, I'm jealous of your classmates. But I know the feeling while baking, now when I tell myself to cook so there can be leftovers for others later, I usually still end up eating everything way too soon haha small leftovers seem too sad sitting by themselves in the fridge. Have you ever tried baking meringues and putting them on your cakes ?? xoxo - Carine.

    1. I am not such a fan of marshmallows either, i hate the gelatine :( But melted marshmallows are pretty good!! hahah, i am the same with leftovers, i dont like leaving food ;);)
Ive tried making meringues before but they didnt turn out so good and i dont like them anyway!! But its a good suggestion!

  2. Wow they look amazing. I wish I could eat things like that without thinking I'm going to gain weight/belly fat... Stupid ana thoughts :(

    1. They tasted amazing as well! Ohh you shouldnt think like that, eating some brownies or cake or chocolate etc wont make you fat or make you gain stomach fat. Thats not how it works. You can eat everything in balance, even if you eat a little too much of something it balances itself out. You should enjoy food, and you need to face your fear foods so that you dont live a life of restriction!! Try baking some brownies and eat a piece, trust me nothing bad will happen!

  3. It sounds like you are a super talented baker being able to do things without using recipes, just inventing things from the top of your head! I hope the brownies go down a treat tomorrow, I'm sure they will by the look and sound of them! Xx

    1. Naaw thank you!! :) The brownies disappeared incredibly fast, haha. All my friends love when i bake :)
