When i got the SMS saying that my new running shoes had arrived i couldnt wait to get home and to try them!
I had tried the shoes on in a store on Monday but they didnt have the colour i wanted so i decided to see if an online store had them - and they did and for a much cheaper price!! Which also meant that i could pay that little extra for express delivery, which meant that i ordered them Tuesday morning and they arrived today - Wednesday!
The shoes i wore previously were Addidas and they were really good, light and comfortable but with good stability. These new shoes - Asics, are supposed to have good satbility and cushioning in the heel among other good things which you can read about here:

When i first put them on they felt great, very comfortable and easy to move in. But i needed to put them to the test, so went for a short run/walk and they felt ok.... they are bigger and feel a little heavier than my previous shoes, so they felt a little clumpy to begin with as well as maybe not having the exact support my feet need. But i am going to try putting my insoles in them and seeing if they feel better. Until then, i am not going to say whether i think they were good or bad because in the beginning shoes always feel different and you need to give them a chance!
Hopefully on Friday or Saturday i can test them properly before the colour run on Sunday!

Life without Anorexia
My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.
I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.
I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

But God, dem colors! You need to start a shoe blog. And a snack blog and a Daisy Run the World -blog.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours!! Hahah, so many blogs XD
DeleteOh boy, I've taken up that Swedish instagram habit "Men (apply a positive adverb or subject in Swedish)!". Well, never mind.
DeleteThis comment is just about the layout changes... First, I'm SO glad your posts finally have dates on them, that was always the one thing I found frustrating about the blog as it was difficult to keep my place when reading older stuff/getting caught up with posts. But now I'm having a different issue, and I'm wondering if it's just me or if it's happening for everyone: On the left side of the page, the ads near the bottom are now covering up the edge of your posts. Totally minor thing, except that the ads often cover almost the entire "newer post" link, so I end up clicking the ad instead of the post link, which is obviously kind of annoying. Is this only happening on my screen? (But love your blog, sorry to sound nit-picky with this but its visually jarring to have ads on top of words)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try change it... It was adsense which changed the adds and I haven't gotten around to changing it so that they don't cover half the posts :) ill try do it this evening. I've found it annoying as well, haha.
DeleteI am a long distance runner and I have the same type of shoes! They are great! I wish you to reach your goals with them! :)
ReplyDelete- Dóri
Ohh that's great to hear :) I need to let my legs rest a little and then I will try them properly!
DeleteWhen seing the pink earplug-wire at the right of the pictures of your legs, it made me think of how funny you must have looked taking the pictures! Haha, bending like that ;) <3
ReplyDeletehahahah, everything for the photo ;););) lol. No one else was outside & the earphones werent plugged into the phone, i was just holding them :)
DeleteI eat healthy like six days a week and have one "cheat" day, when i eat usually candies/ice cream. Normally i buy 500ml ben and jerrys & some yummy bread roll or about 350g pix n mix and bread roll and i eat it at once. But i dont binge it, i just like to eat like once a week and when i eat i eat maybe a lot, so it is okay? When ive eaten that i dont eat overly full or anything :)
ReplyDeleteI dont personally believe in 'cheat days' but if that works for you then fine :) But dont be scared to treat yourself on other days if that is what you are craving :) DOnt see cheat days as days where you go crazy and eat everything because that can lead to the wrong mentality, but if you are honestly happy with this way then keep going with it :)
DeleteYeah i get your point :) i think that works for me 100%, i dont get any cravings during the week. And on "cheat day" i dont binge or think "yasss im going to eat everything" - i just like to eat lots like i mentioned earliel and i dont feel uncomfortably full! Idk, im not just a person who eats row of chocolate daily, i like to treat myself not so often and eat the whole chocolate bar, haha
DeleteIf that works for you that's great :) everyone is different and it's great that you have found what is best for you! :)
DeleteI do the same thing anon! I don't eat chocolate super often because I don't feel like it, but when I do I have no qualms about eating 100g in one sitting :) There's nothing wrong with it as long as you don't displace "real" food with it- ie "i've already had 600 calories from chocolate, so I can't hve dinner"
