Life without Anorexia

My motto is

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Early morning and last official day of school

Good morning!!

Today is my last official day of classes - though i only have one class and we are going to do something special during that class as its the only teacher we have had for all 3 years! ^_^

Yesterday i also emptied my locker so now there is nothing in it apart from an empty water bottle XD It feels so strange that it's all coming to an end... how quickly time passes, how much i have changed these past 3 years but also how i have found great friends. I am hoping we will all stay close and be friends, but only time will tell. But i am definitely going to do my best to keep in contact with them all :) I have lost far too many friends and people in my life and its not a nice feeling.

Anyway this morning i woke up at 3.30am due to serious thirst, needing to pee and the sun was shining into my room and making it similar to a sauna! So after tossing and turning and playing games on my phone i got up at 5.30am and decided to properly test my running shoes (again). And ouch.... my calves hurt alot for the first 6km but after that it went away! It was very nice to start my day in that way though there was one creepy man outside the apartment building who did not look friendly at all when i left the house at 6am so that made me feel a little uneasy!! Thats the worst thing about running outside, especially during winter you need to be aware of who is around you. This is extra important if you are listening to music as you want to be aware of your surroundings and what is going on :) Just a little tip!!

Now ive just eaten breakfast and have about 15 minutes before i need to leave ^_^

I always like those posts in which you simply write out how you feel and according to this what you do and how you spent your time :) It is really funny to me you go for a run at this time of the day in the early morning :) Hahaaa I am such a long sleeping person ;) but I admire you for getting up so early so you can have so much more of the whole day :) Keep your positivity up, it is so greeeeat and I wish you a lovely last day of school :) this is amazing
    PS: by the way in Germany we have a public celebration day and school and uni is off todaaay ;) don´t you have this one in Sweden?

  4. Izzy, please tell me how to run before having breakfast or snack??? Especially 14 kms?
    If I had gotten up at 3am and waited till 6am, I would have totally been hungry... to be honest, I can go to run only after eating a normal breakfast but then I still need to wait an hour or more to start running since I am full... but then there is another problem: it's really hot here so because of the heat I need to get back until around 8am... Waking up 4am is the right solution then?

    1. I ate some dried fruit as well as bcaas and coffee. But i usually amnt so hungry in the mornings, i am more hungry in the evenings and my personal preference is to run in the morning usually before i eat. But it depends how far i run.. i hadnt planned to run that far so i hadnt eaten anything big, but if i planto run 15+km i try to eat some crisp bread and dried fruit to give me energy.
      I dont think you should wake up at 4am just so that you can run... your body wont like that. You will feel tired, feel extra hungry and maybe have mood swings as well. Its tough when its super warm and you can only run at certain times of the day but if you dont like running in the morning or you need to get up that early JUST to exercise then maybe you should plan evening runs instead or just go for a walk later in the day.

    1. The shoes are feeling better, but i am going to test them before the run tomorrow and see how they feel. Whether i decide to use them or another pair... i think they are slightly wrong for my feet :( Which sucks, but i will see maybe i just need to use them more!
