Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Recovery Reminders

Obsessively trying to eat strictly healthy food and micromanaging all your meals is NOT healthy. Being absolutely terrified of certain foods because they are not 100% “clean” is NOT healthy. Feeling bad for enjoying food, regardless of its nutritional value, is NOT HEALTHY.

looking healthy does not mean:

petite, curvy, small, large, muscular, slim, pretty, well dressed, sweating from the gym…etc

looking healthy means:

eyes sparkling, real smiling and laughter, skin that glows, a functioning alert body and radiating contentment and positivity about yourself.

  1. Hi Izzy, so I just have a comment/statement to make... I noticed that many girls are making a sort of 're-make' of your blog. The same type of lay out, same type of posts in the same format and even the photographs and food they post are a remake of the type of things you post. Do you ever feel the same way and does it bother you? You are a great inspiration so I'm sure many girls want what you have and the same amount of recognition and followers that you have... So they create similar blogs with similar stories and posts. I just feel people should remember that you are unique and they should be too.

    1. Yeah I've noticed this... but as they say, "copying is the highest form of flattery" (or something like that.). I'm sure they aren't doing it on purpose and even if they are I guess it doesn't matter so much... as long as they don't try to replace me, hahah :) :) but thank you for mentioning it!!
