Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Be kind to yourself

Right now - or when you have the time, go to a mirror and look at yourself and tell yourself that you are beautiful.

It doesnt matter whether you have to fake it, whether it feels wrong or you are lying to yourself. Instead think it... whisper it... say it out loud. Be comfortable in your own body, be ok with looking in the mirror. Be happy with yourself and your body. It doesnt magically happen over night, its a process. A process of telling yourself that you are ok just the way you are, that you have a healthy body and your aim is a healthy and happy mind.
If you dont try and work towards a healthy mind and body positivity then you wont achieve it either... its like learning a new subject or a new language, you dont get better by avoiding it. You wont get better at a new language if you decide to close your book and not do the work, instead its best to surround yourself with people speaking that language. Do a little work everyday, practise... practise... practise.
And its the same for body love.... A little everyday and surrounding yourself with body positive people.

Dont look at others and be jealous. Dont look at others and see them as competition, instead look at yourself and be happy that you are YOU. That you have YOUR body.
Dont overwork yourself, dont starve yourself, dont hurt yourself. Take care of your body, try to listen to your body, be kind to yourself, love yourself.

This is your body and you WILL live with it for the rest of your life..... so try body love and positivity, because really..... how far have you come hating your body? What positive thing has happened while you are stuck in self hate and cant even look in the mirror without wanting to cry or say 100 negative things about yourself.

Begin with positive thoughts, think them everyday, think positive thoughts about your body and keep working for balance and peace between your mind and body. Because there is NOTHING wrong with your body, its not your stomach or thighs or arms that are the problem, its your thoughts and the way you think about your body.
