Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Starting the week off on a positive note

When the alarm rings  and the bed seems just that little  bit extra warm and more cosy. You're still half dreaming and your eyelids feel heavy. It can then be hard to drag yourself out of bed and feel motivated for the day, especially when its grey and cold outside.
   Though i dont want to wake up feeling negative and tired, spending my whole day longing back to bed. So instead, I am going to spend some time thinking about the positives of today and this week!!

Todays positives

  • Its Monday and a new week!!
  • Finally going back to the gym since last Tuesday!
  • Waking up to breakfast!
  • Seeing my friends in school today
  • One day closer to summer.

This weeks positives

  • Only 2 more stressful weeks and then my Easter break
  • I am hoping to be super productive this week - use all my breaks to get work done
  • Its a whole 7 days where i am still alive, can choose what to do and live life!
  • The weather might get better - i really do hope so!

Just some positives anyway! The mind is very powerful, so its important to choose your thoughts right so that they make you feel good, help you live a positive life rather than a negative life.
   Because you know what.... super negative people are very boring to be around! I always feel like trying to throw some sunshine on those overly negative people who are just very pessimistic about everything! XD Give life a chance instead of being negative and thinking things wont work or things are awful!
Just my little bit or morning advice anyway.


  1. Just what I needed this morning-good advice for when you don't want to get out of bed! I need to start a positive thought journal and think of 3 positives for when I wake up every day :)
