Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Appreciate everyday and enjoy the small things in life

Something which i have become more aware of recently is the small things in life. The small everyday things, or unique things that happen everyday that make the dya special. That add some positivity to the day.... not everyday is good. Infact there are those hellish days where you just want the day to be over before its even began and sometimes life just doesnt seem to have anything positive. But its then that its even more important to find the small special things in life. The small things in your day that make life a little more positive, somethign that can change your mood, bring a smile to your face. Life isnt always easy to appreciate, but try to change your thoughts and focus on the positive.
  I think that is what we should all challenge ourselves to do next week, to appreciate the small things in life. To be kind to others. Because you know what, so many people are stressed, just surviving life, not really looking around at others or seeing the positive or small things in life. So many people are filled with hate and negativity, but we can change that. Even if its just to smile at a stranger, to hold the door for someone, to compliment a friend or even a stranger. Its plenty of times i have complimented a stranger and i am pretty sure it has added a little positivity to their day!!!

The whole of next week i am going to begin with Positives of the day and i want YOU to join in as well. To comment your positives of the day, whether its one positive thing or 10 positive things. We are going to appreciate life and find the positives and try to be happy no matter what situation we are in. Because if you think negative in a negative situation then everything will continue to be negative!!!

It bugs me when people are unnecessarily mean. Like, you didn’t have to make that comment. You could have just kept your mouth shut and left that person not feeling bad about themselves. What do you gain from making someone else feel like shit? Nothing of substance. Maybe a fleeting moment of power but that’s gone as soon as it comes so why? There’s enough unhappiness in the world without you adding to it

  1. Could you make a post about increasing obesity rates. It's kind of the 'other side' of anorexia and I was wondering what your thoughts are about this theme. Thank you xxxx
