Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Video: How to cope with dieters and to focus on your own goals

Sooo.... i decided to make a video!! I dont know why... but now ive made it so i thought, why not post it. Even if  i barely say anything useful, hahah :)

Though maybe more videos will come in the new year, or maybe not!!

Anyway, i hope you enjoy it :)

  1. This has been so useful Izzy! I know that you've already done a post on the dangers or negatives of recovering with a low calorie intake (i.e. 1500 calories etc) , as you said this slows down your metabolism, meaning it might never fully recover and you will be eating 1500 a day for your whole life arguably as a way of sustaining your weight. Whereas if you eat 300-2500 calories a day in recovery, your metabolism will recover, meaning you will be able to then sustain your weight at a normal calorie intake (say between 2000-2500). I was wondering if you could write again about this, or a bit more about this, as I have found this really useful in managing to up my calorie intake, as I am scared that my metabolism might never recover, and your posts about this help me to increase my calorie intake to avoid this. And more videos would be great! xxx

    1. * I meant between 3000-3500 calories for your metabolism to recover!

    2. Ill try write a post about this again :) Just remind me if i dont within the next week :)

    3. Thank you so much Izzy! And I just want to replicate what is said in the below comments - you are beautiful and amazing and I wouldn't be recovering without you! I hope that you have a fabulous 2015! xxxxx

  2. This was awesome thank you so much. By the way you are very beautiful and I really admire and look up to you lots. I hope you have an amazing and super fun new year! Give yourself more credit this year for all you do! Without you I wouldn't have recovered so thank you from my heart.
