Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Positives of the day

As i didnt do any positves of the day yesterday (was too tired... thats no excuse, i know ;)) haha but i will do 6 today instead :):)

positives of the day:

  1. Running. Freedom of running. 
  2. Having a healthy and strong and energetic body... when i do things i havent done before its then that i feel even more happy, amazed and proud. Just happy to have my body and be able to live and challenge myself and do things i love.
  3. RICE PUDDING. Oh my gosh, it is an addiction of mine. But not a bad addiction/binge food like before. Now i can atleast it in normal portions... even if i eat a normal (normal for me anyway... because portion sizes are too small) 3 times a day ;);) Hahah.
  4. Another positive is rest and my comfy bed! When my legs are feeling tired, then having my bed and resting is the perfect thing!!
  5. Friends and all the lovely people i have in my life. Family, friends, my readers and strangers who i dont even know who comment and say lovely things and just make my day brighter! Not everyday is good, but small things like a nice comment from someone can really make a day better!
  6. Running socks.... seriously, the best thing ever. Even when im not running i wear them becaus3e they are so comfortable, but even better when actually running!!

    Same I was so tired yesterday I wanted to comment my positives but forgot
    1) Yesterday I went for a morning run before school and it was so great! I usually only go for morning runs on weekends and on weekdays I run in the evening. But then I decide I would get up a little bit earlier and run. After my run I thought 'I should probably but on my pyjamas to be extra comfy, forgetting for a second that I had school in an hour (though I see several people wearing their pyjamas and slippers to school...something new to me, haha!) i also went with my dog so it gave me extra motivation as she runs faster than me and always has loads of energy ;)
    2) Today I might go for a long peaceful walk with my dog either into town to get some presents for my friends and family or go on a hiking trail thats only about 5-10 minutes from my house. Just maybe sit there and enjoy some alone time surrounded by trees :)
    3) I have liquid soap in the bathroom along with bar soap but I prefer bar soap so Im happy my mom bought some
    4) We may go food shopping today!
    5) I have the day to do whatever I want and can do things I usually don't have time to do during the week :)

  2. 1) I went to an art class and was actually proud of what I did. Usually I always think that I just can't draw and I'm ashamed but not this time !

    2) I weighed myself this morning, saw the weight gain, felt bad but still, took my Fortimel, ate all my meal plan, went out with my friends and decided that it was a GOOD thing eventhough it is not an EASY thing.

    3) I found many christmas presents for my family and can't wait to offer them ! I'm actually looking forward to Christmas eventhough it's of course also a bit scary.

    4) Simply, the weather was nice this morning (and I live in Ireland so that is rare ;)) and walking in the sun felt so good !

  4. Great things from yesterday1. I got to eat my breakfast of my favorite cereal bowl ...yes its crazy, but i love that bowl and there is only one of them in the house, so its not always clean to use ;)

    2. I got to talk to the new girl that moved into the room next to mine, and i really felt like we could get along quite well ( i live at this little farm where young girls go, to get therapy and recover from their eating disorders )

    3. I had a long warm shower after freezing like h*ll all day... Much needed!

    4. A guy that also lives at the farm suddenly asked me if i wanned some massage, and the answer was yes ;)

    1. I am the same with the bowls... as you can see in my breakfast photos there is a certain cup and bowl which are my favourite and i love when they are clean so i can use them!! :)
      And its always nice with a long warm shower! :)
