Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email:

At the moment i am all out of ideas... or i mean, i do have ideas i have LOADS of posts that are just drafts and ive begun writing but cant seem to finish them....
and i know ive said i would write about posts but then i forget about them. So i thought, I want to know what YOU want to read about as well.

Do you want me to start making videos? Writing more about Sweden? About myself? Food? Recipes...

Also, when i posted the poll asking about if you wanted to see more exercise/workout/nutrition it was like 85% yes.... so once a week or so ill try write a post about something around working out/exercise or something else YOU want to read about..... so email or comment suggestions If you email me... please title it 'Post suggestion' or something :)
Maybe yuo want to know my opinion on something, or if i have suggestions etc

But let me know what YOU want to read about any topic suggestions you might have :)

  1. Do you think you missed out most of your youth (puberty) due to so many years spent sick? I mean ... you were a child, then got sick and after being declared healthy you were almost sort of thrown into adulthood? What do you think of that?

Another question is more about exercise ... I'm as old as you and due to my OCD I move around several hours every day which could be classified as cardio training (though that moving is a sort of compulsion). I would like to do at least a little strength training each week because it's beneficial for one's health but due to work and the compulsions I don't have a lot of time and I don't necessarily want to go to a gym. How or with what exercises would you recommend me starting to strength train? Would a kettlebell be a good investion? I've done 2x30 push-ups every evening for a while, do you think that was a good 'beginning'?

Thank you for reading and I'm hoping for an answer :) (my e-mail:
    greetings, Jana

  2. "Lär sig svenska hos Izzy!"
    ^ Finally I remembered!!

  3. I would love some tasty dinner recipes :) Also I really enjoy exercise tips and posts.

Youre the best Izzy! I really have gotten motivation to my ed recovery :)

  4. Could you please do a video when you next bake something?

  5. I really wanted to know about your school environment. Have you decide what are you going to do after you finished ur school?

  6. I have often been sugested by people around med to spend some time every day ( probably smartest in the evening ) - thinking about at least 3 good things that happened today and then write them down... It doesnt necessarily have to be something huge, but just things like "today i had a nice warm shower" or "i talket to my best friend on the phone". This is supposed to help getting a bit more positive atitude to life and also help you find out what actually makes you happy and means something to you, so that you can add more of those things into your life :)
I have actually tried it, but i never do it for more than a week, before i start to forget about it again... I thought maybe you could try and do a post about 3 good things that happened to you each day, and then we ( your readers ) could comment with the 3 good things that happened to us?
Sort of help eachother remember to do it, and try out if it actually makes a difference after a period of time? Hope you understood at least some of everything i just wrote ;)
    Hugs from me to you!

  7. i really like all of these ideas so i agree!! :) anything is great really (although i know that doesn't really help you know what to write about :) ) so just maybe lots of motivational and positive posts to help us through this upcoming winter(for those of us in the northern hemisphere!! :p)

  8. All these ideas are great! I also thought maybe something about knowing how much to eat and nutrition once you start exercising more. I am starting to do a bit more, but I don't know the types of food I should be eating and the amounts. Exercise nutrition would be great :) xx

  9. Can you make a video : a day in a life! It would be fun!!!

  10. Did you or do you ever think about hiring a personal trainer? Would you recommend to get a structured exercise and eating plan to reach wanted goals?
