Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

It isnt stress that makes us fall, its how we react to stressful events (About Emailing!!)

My life at the moment is pretty much just according to a schedule. When i have time for things and when i dont. Its about priorties and using every moment i can to do something useful. And sometimes what is useful is just watching a series - as that is useful and helpful for my mental health.

Above you see roughly 60% of the work i have in school at the moment (with continuous homework, small assignments and bigger assignments to be added as well). So you can tell that alot of my time will be going to school work.

This means that i will have less time for blogging - though it is still a priority of mine so 3-5 posts a day i will still manage. But i have decided that with emailing - i might cut back on it. I truly wish i could help you all. That i had the time to answer everyones questions, to really give the indivudal help you need. But i am also just a school girl, and this is my hobby. It is not something i get paid to do, its something i do in my free time to help others.
I can often feel stressed because i dont answer the emails and i feel bad for that. But now... instead of stressing  or feeling bad about it. I know i have written my reasons why on here. And prioritising school work will always come first. However...You CAN still email me. I will still reply to emails but not as frequently. And i might just redirect you to posts in some cases and other times if i notice a simlar question in many emails then i will just write a post about it.

Also know that you can comment on my blog - might be quicker to get an answer. But also my replied will take longer on my blog as well as i cant comment on my blog from my phone, making it harder to reply :/

I wish that i could help you all, but for now my blog will be priortised before my emails. So you can suggest topic ideas, or search for questions/topics you want advice about or you can ask questions in comments. And you can email if you have certain queries or things that are better posted privatly :)

I do feel bad about this, but i hope you understand :)

  1. That is perfectly understandable Izzy! And don't feel bad about it - it would be horrible if what was once an enjoyable hobby became instead a source of pressure and stress. :(
I don't think you should feel obliged to do a certain amount of posts a day either - I think you should just log when and as frequently as you feel like it :)
And I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you so, so much for the countless emails you sent me ever since I started reading your blog! They have been such an enormous help to me and I really hope you know how much I appreciate it <3 but I really think it is important that you focus on whatmatters most to you - and you are already helping so many, many people just through writing your blog, so please don't feel bad about the emailing! xxxxx

  3. Please don't worry too much. All this is completely understandable and you are being very smart about it by letting people know you really do care but that you also have a life and blogging is not a full time job. Don't feel bad :)

  4. Girl you're already doing so much, go take that break !! No but seriously, I honestly can't figure out how you keep so updated here in addition to all the school work. You already put the bar really high by accepting to answer personally to every single person that writes to you and asks very specific questions. And I think you're blog is already one of the most complete places to find any possible answer to people in recovery so really I think we could find most answers/reassurance by digging into it ourselves. So take your breaks without any second thoughts about it, you shouldn't feel bad at all. If I can think of anyone who deserves it, it's you. Best wishes :) -C.
