Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Answering questions Part 1

If you could change your name what would you change it to?
This is a hard question because if you asked me this 5 years ago i would have said 10 different names i would have wanted my name to be instead. But now... not so much. I guess i have grown into my name. But ive never liked Isabelle - which is my full name. Ever since ive been little ive been called Izzy and so thats pretty much what i call myself - even if someone asks what im called. And i like my nickname, however i wouldnt officially change my name to Izzy.

What years do you think are the best in life, lyk child or adult?

This is hard to answer (pretty much how i start with all questions - sorry!) But i mean i wouldnt call myself an adult even if i am... but when i think of adult i think of like 30+. So i cant exactly say that being an adult is the best time of your life and pretty much 80% of my teenage years was spent in hospital. And if im honest, i definitely dont think the teenage years are the best years... they are the ones where you begin to grow physicaly and mentally. You go through puberty, try to find who you are. You are stressed with school and the future... nope, being a teenager is not where iw ould want to stay.
I do think being a child is the best time... you are so free, so unknowing of what is about to come. You are innocent and can run around playing with barbies. But then again there are some 5 year olds who are more mature and grown up than 20 year olds because they have forced to grow up early. But i think that childhood - back in the 90's anyway was a good time to be a child. Now a days children are 4 year olds and have their face stuck in an Iphone or Ipad or they wear designer clothes. When i was 4 or 5 i was running around in fields and playing 'Family' with my friends... i dont think i even knew what boyfriend or sex meant ;)

if you could do anyting in a day and have all the money in the world what would you do?

I want to be realistic and think i have 24 hours so i cant exactly fly around the world and then run a marathon,,,, but. I would want to use the full 24 hours and i would be in NY (just because :):)). So i would begin with breakfast at a super good hotel where a breakfast buffet is served (at 00.00 ;)) then i would get ready and go shopping for several hours - buying everything i could and wanted. And lots and lots of questbars and yummy food (Be warned... i will be materialistic in this answer :)) Then i would go for lunch at some nice place. Followed by a run in Central park. Then refuel and then go to some super good gym to workout. Then i would go for a massage and be in a spa followed by a dessert buffet (btw im presuming that my sister or friends are with me for everything apart from the run and workout :)). And then most probably do some walking around the city - with a starbucks in my hand - and i would give money to the homeless (or buy food and give to them instead of money). Then i would want to go to the theater/Broadway and see something. Then dinner followed by drinks and going to a club.......

^^Hhahah, would i eevn manage all of that in 24 hours. Most probably :) But that would be a good day!

whats your favourite thing to wear?
Sports clothes...... And fluffy socks as my feet are always cold (bad circulation :()
If you woke up and your tattoos were gone what would you do?
Ive thought about this for a while i think i would feel really sad... and i would most probably go get them done again. Because they are a part of me... its like someone taking something special to you or you are blonde your whole life and then you dye your hair to black. Its like something is missing.

if you woke up and couldnt exercise what would you do?
Find something else to do with my time...i would most probably begin baking or writing alot more. But i can imagine i would feel sad..... because when you spend alot of time doing something you love and suddenly you cant do it, you do feel sad. But i mean, there are other things to life than exercise. I do know that, but when i have time, motivation and passion for it then why not :)

what would your dream breakfast be?

Waffles with cream and nutella, croissants, quark with yoghurt & nuts, berries and granola. Coffee & fruit salad & extra watermelon.... (Lets just imagine i can fit this all in. Though infact, i think i could :))

who is a celebratiy you wnt to meet?
Johnny Depp!!!!:) He is my absaloute favourite actor :)

*'I will answer the other questions in other posts, so dont worry :)

  1. There is a new Johnny Depp movie coming :) I think it was called In to the woods. It´s a fantasy thing ;)

  2. I can relate to the breakfast answer. Just need to add a cold hard boiled egg (don't ask, I have no idea why I prefer cold eggs over hot. But this only applies to boiled eggs. Some pointless information :D)
Sport clothes are super comfy ;)
I know this isn't gonna change your mind and that's not really goal but I have to say that I think Isabella is such a beautiful name!! And I like Izzy too ;)
If I even had the chance I wouldn't change my name. It's such a big part of me. And it would feel weird and wrong if all of a sudden people started calling me a different name. But that's just me :) nowadays I think you can change your name to pretty much anything.
If you don't mind I want to add a few questions. Gosh I have no idea how you'll answer them all!
