Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

How my lunches/dinners look

This is just examples of how some of my lunches and dinners look.
They vary soo much. Because some days im more hungry, somedays im less hungry. Somedays i want more carbs, other days i want more protein. Somedays i eat Brinner etc etc
But also, one picture doesnt tell the whole story whether i went and got dessert, how mcuh i had eaten before or after, so remember that!

Fish cakes with vegetables, sunflower seeds and a sauce made from quark and sweet chili sauce

Brocolli, beetroots, fish in a coconut and tomatoe sauce, olives and quinoa

Quron fillets, vegetables, cottage cheese, orange and an apple

Pick and Mix salad

Bulgur, broclli, quorn mince & prawns.

Quorn fillets, salad, cottage cheese, bread with spread, an orange

Salmon, brocolli, noodles, cottage cheese

Salmon with rice

A mix of everything at a vegetarian buffet

Quorn fillets (my absaloute favourite if you havent already noticed), quinoa, vegetables, beetroots, cottage cheese
A mix of everything at a vegetarian buffet

Quorn burgers

In general i eat pretty much the same thing, varying to some extent. But as you can see cottage cheese, vegetables, quorn, beetroots, quinoa are staple ingredients in our house and are frequnelty consumed!

  1. Do yo ever feel that you need to eat more when you eat with your family just to show them? When you are not hungry and your family has planned to eat together what do you do?

    1. Well my family know how i eat and if i say ive already eaten before... i.e say i eat a big snack at 4.30pm after school and we've decided to eat dinner at 6/6.30pm then i might not eat as big a dinner as i would have if i would have eaten later... but then i eat a big night snack. But even on the days where i eat less because im not hungry i eat more than my family hhaah ;);)
If i amnt hungry because say i have stomach pain then i tell them that and just eat as much as i can. They dont have anything to be worried about, i dont even need to explain why i would eat less.
Its about trust and the longer it goes from you being sick the more trust you earn and your parents have no reason to distrust you :)
