Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Find what makes you happy

A life without happiness is not a life at all.

Find what you love in life whether its music, art, dance, singing, painting, running, cycling, swimming, reading, watching movies, making jokes etc etc

Doing what you love, doing things that make you happy is what life is all about. Of course there are things in life you dont like doing but have to do.... like paying taxes, studying for exams, having to leave your bed and go to school in a snow storm...Maybe not the most fun things to do, but they are part of life.¨

But if you also do things that you love, things that make you happy then those types of things arent so bad!! :)

I had agreed to workout and do aeroboxing with my sister today but then she said she didnt want to so i was like thats fine. Ill go to the gym and practise my deadlifts.... listen to some good music and focus on technique. And i was super pepped for that but then my sister comes and tells me she wants to workout and do aeroboxing.... I was so excited and focused on doing deadlifts that i didnt know what to do.....
But she convinced me it would be fun and so i agreed and she was right... it was super fun!!! Even if at the beginning i could barely breathe at all.... :( But that soon got better, reminds me why i should do HIIT more often!!!
It was super fun and also fun to workout with someone else as well as being a coach :):) And then when we were stretching and i did some foam rolling i began giving loads of advice (she was asking for it ;)) to my sister about a workout program, nutrition etc Reminds me how much i love it. Helping others, sharing my knowledge :):) I seriously cant wait until i can egin going into more depth about biology, nutrition, exercise, the body etc and then being able to use that indepth knowledge to really help people!!!

Infact ive mentioned this before, but for me learning more about nutrition - and not just calories helped me alot in recovery. It helped me to understand that my body needed energy. I learnt about BMR, TDEE, how the body absorbs and uses energy and all the dfiferernt food groups!! This of course doesnt always help people, it can make people more obsessive. But for me it helped me to find balance and be ok with eating all types of food :):)

Now its study time so i thought i would just write a quick post, and im hoping to answer my emails today as well.... though that comes after my research and study!! :)

Now tell me.... whats YOUR favourite thing to do? :):)
