Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Random facts about me Part 1

Some of thes you may know, some you might not... but i tried to be creative :)

I'm a salt addict.... seriously, salt on EVERYTHING. (almost!) I dont even think its healthy the amount of salt i add to meals.

I drink anywhere from 3-5l (im guessing) water per day... most probably because i eat so much salt... also leads to like 20 bathroom visits per hour ;)

I am one of the most active-lazy people you will meet... i.e when i workout or am active, then im a duracell bunny and super active. But otherwise, i can just lie in bed all day and really need to pee, but not want to get up until im bursting ;) XD

I got granted a wish by the Make a wish foundation .

The first wish i got was in Ireland - i got a make over (my hair cut - so did my mum and sister), i got my make up done proffessionally, i got a personal shopper to help me pick an outfit and then i went to the Rose of Tralee dinner with my mum and sister. And got to spend the night at a hotel.

My second wish was to go to Disneyland Paris! We got to be there for 3 days i.e the day we traveled & 2 days. I got a VIP pass so whenever i wanted to go on a ride i skipped all the queues - even the express queue! :) Yes, i felt super VIP! Also, the foundation organized so my dad and half brother travelled from Ireland to meet us in Paris and spend the weekend with us there. It really was a dream come true for me :)

I can't watch badly produced films or series.

I can reread books several times

I was addicted to the Twilight book series - read the whole series 6 times ^_^ Hahahah, but i hated the movies! Note... that at the time i read the series i was at home sick due to my CF and was spending weeks at home and had nothing better to do than to read, and i became a little alot obsessed!

If you like these facts, then more are coming tomorrow :)

  2. I love these random facts about me posts! Looking forward to more :) the water&peeing one, ahaha! I drink water a lot too and have to go like five minutes later if sooner! It's so frustrating!! Especially when traveling. Here's a tip. Take small sips-you won't have to go to the bathroom as bad/fast. This also works with drinking alcohol, you don't get as drunk, though I never get to that point

    1. Yes, travelling is the worst... infact when i have to sit in the car/bus/train etc for a long period of time then i have to make sure to not drink anything, otherwise it just goes right through me ;) But taking small sips is a good idea!
I rarely drink alcohol so thats not such a problem, but when i do its just a glass or so... however that always seems to make me tipsy anyway. Im a lightweight i guess ;)
