Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Change of plans.

It's Tuesday and my only day of sleep in, though i still ended up waking up at 7.15am... But thats ok. I like waking up early :) I feel i can get alot done.
However, i thought i would have more time, but there was a change of plans.. i thought i would have alot more time in the morning. Time to write posts etc but my sister said she was going to go to the gym but needed that extra bit of motivation and asked if i could follow with. As i was planning on going to the gym anyway i thought i might as well follow with her to her gym. Though its strange how i can miss my gym so much... because its not just working out, i mean i can workout anywhere... at home, outside, another gym. But its the actual location i miss... My gym isn't even that fancy, it was just over summer that they installed more modern machines. But really, my gym isn't one of those super modern, super lighting and just 100% perfect gyms. But to me its my safe place, its the place i love to be. I guess thats why im now on my 3rd year there :) (May next year and i will have gone 3 years to the same gym :)) Its definitely my second home.

Anyway, im going off topic. But can you tell that im excited to be up and about again? To be able to lift some heavy weights again ;)

This change in plans however has decreased my time for studying and other things which i had planned on doing this morning. But that's ok, im thinking ill spend an extra hour after school if i feel i need it to get the work done!!!

Now a question to you!! What do you want to see more of on my blog? What type of posts?  :)

  1. I like getting up early too! I feel more productive. But of course that's not always the case as often times I stay up late and well I need my sleep! ;)
Hmmm... I like the mix of topics, of course. Lots of pictures is something that makes your blog more fun and interesting. Seeing your smile is always nice :) your motivational posts are really good and they help me a lot, so those are good. Food ideas and pictures of food is nice. One of my favorites are random q&a. Just learning something new about you. Also when you just talk about your feelings, what you're going through, your life, school, family, exercise etc. Oh I absolutely love it when at the end of a post you ask your readers a question. It makes readers interact more and sometimes even support each other which is always nice. But really, I enjoyed EVERYTHING you've posted so far :) A mix of everything is a good idea.
    Awww!! Daisy is soo adorable!
    Have a great day! :)

  2. I agree! The motivational quotes and pictures are really helpful when you just need something to keep you going. I think instead of skirting the issue and pics of food and exercise due to not wanting to trigger readers should be rethought. I mean you're healthy why shouldn't you talk about your exercise and show pics of your yummy food!? I find it motivating to push onto full recovery and to enjoy life.

  3. I totally agree, the more your blog shows how much you're enjoying your life even if it's exercising, or food, or anything really, it just personally makes me want recovery more and more. I entirely support Anonymous' comment above. I understand your concern about potentially triggering some readers but I think - even if some don't like it - that it sort of reminds us how much we would be missing out of life by staying stuck with the ed so it really motivates. Comments were you reflect on thoughts you had in the past and how you kinda respond back to them now with perspective help a lot too cause they help finding ways to fight those unhealthy thoughts by showing why they're so biased. And I always love the pictures :) C.

  4. Daisy looks so happy in the pictures! She's adorable! :)
