Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Answers part 3

Have you ever been to Canada?
No i haven't, but i would love to!! Canadians are such lovely people (as far as i know, its not just a stereotype!)

Have you ever been to a spinning class, recently or a while back?
Ive never been to spinning... i don't like cycling. I sat on the stationary bike for 5 minutes once at the gym back in 2012 and i hated it and since then i haven't sat on a stationary bike again.... ;) hahaha
I prefer the treadmill or elliptical.

Do you have any special turn-ons? Athleticy does not count! Think of the most unordinary things :)
A persons smile is a turn on. But also, i love listening to people when they talk about things they love. I mean a guy could be really passionate about economy and talking about it to me, and i would live listening to it. Seeing as his face lights up with the passion/interest of his :) I love seeing this in friends as well... I'm guessing i look a bit like that when i talk about nutrition and exercise :)
Also i like looking at people when they don't know I'm looking.... just seeing how they naturally sit/stand/talk to people :) Hahah, sounds weird!

How do you feel about winter sports? Or dancing? Have you ever tried them?
Depends what winter sports you mean? Ive tried ice skating several times, but i hate it. I'm scared of falling so ice skating is a sort of fear of mine. But I've never tried skiing or snow boarding, but i really want to :)
And i like dancing... or i used to anyway. Fun fact about me, i danced Irish dancing for 2-3 years in Ireland and i came second in the national Irish dancing competition for my age group :) hahah, though that was the only competition i competed in. It wasn't really my thing :)
And Ive gone to different work shops and tried different forms of dancing like hip-hop, African, Zumba, ballet, modern, jazz etc and i was going to start Hip-Hop classes in 2011/2012 but i felt too self conscious standing in front of all the mirrors. I didn't like looking and seeing myself so much so i decided to not join.

Cheap wannabe products or real money-eating brand pieces?
Hahah, cheap wannabe.... But when it comes to Converse and Nikes, it has to be the real deal. But otherwise im no Brand whore. :)

Hot or cold showers? Have you ever had a bubble bath?
Definitely hot... you would think my skin is ice due to the temperature of the water i have when im showering. But im actually very warm blooded and dont get cold so often.
Yes in Ireland i used to take bubble baths 3-5 times a week :) Loved them

Name a TV show that you tried to watch but couldn't bear.
Game of thrones... saw the first 10 minutes of the first episode and it just wasn't for me :)

Do you have any of your childhood toys saved?
Not anymore.. there might be some in Ireland. But after all the moving I've done my packing has gone from cartons and boxes of things to being able to fit everything into a suitcase and a half.

Do you ever feel bothered to go brush your teeth?
Just randomly, or? Most evenings i end up giving myself 10 reasons why i don't need to brush my teeth and first reason is that I'm too lazy to get up from bed :) But then i need to pee so need to go to the bathroom anyway, so might as well brush my teeth!! hahah

What do you feel that is the hardest school subject?
French.... though as far as i know, I'm not taking it this year? Though i might add it, as i think i need it.

Is there something (I guess society and humanity -wise mostly) that you're embarrassed to admit not being interested in at all?
Hmmm... well i really don't care about politics or economy. Talking about politics is very common in my house as that is what my sister is studying, so i just zone out. But i can come off as very uninterested in most things, but that's mainly because i don't always contribute to conversations. I keep my opinions and ideas to myself.. but then there are some things which i am VERY engaged in such as things about mental health, suicide, health care, different kinds of abuse etc

  1. What do your parents/family think about you blogging? or taking photos of food? do they read your blog? do you earn money from your blog? how long are you planning on blogging? do you think you will change your blog... like write more about exercise and working out?

  2. How long did it take for you to get you to get your period back once you had started recovery and were weight restored? I've been recovering 5 months and lost my period September last year but still no period and I'm really worried i won't get it back ever! :( thanks izzy xxx
