Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

  1. I loved this video! And I can't believe you worry about your voice - I love your accent! It's an interesting mix of Irish and Swedish. Weird that you should talk about intermittent fasting - I am watching a documentary about it right now! I don't think I could ever do it, as y blood sugar level get kind of crazy if I go too long without food

  4. Seeing the motioned you made me feel more chilled than just reading and translating smileys into human expressions! You seem very casual and the camera gives you much more charism (not that you didn't have it otherwise, though :---) text just always lacks some level of the person, obviously).

  7. No problems with your voice:)

I would like to ask you sg. I don't expect you to write a whole post about it, but I have been thinking about this issue recently and maybe you could share your views about it with us. So: CHEWING GUM.
Okay, it may sound silly: who cares about it? It has 0 calories and maybe it seems unworthy of mentioning. But practically all the people I have known so far who have been suffering from an ED had incredibly high amount of chewing gums. Some of them were having bulimia and I guess they just had so many chewing gums because they needed sg to chew so that they wouldn't binge. Some of them even had 2-3 packs of chewing gum daily!!! But also, people with anorexia. Is it because they don't WANT TO EAT anything that contains calories, yet chewing gum can imitate the experience of eating? I personally don't EVER chew gums, because at my worst even one piece of chewing gum made me guilty. I know...silly. But you know how an anorexic mind works...
So, have you ever had a period when you had lots of chewing gums? Or do you still buy it sometimes for yourself?
Thanks for the answer in advance.
    Have a nice day!
    (And yesss...more vlogs, pls:)

    1. Hmmm i think the reason why people chew gum varies alot. THough i know many people with an ED chew it to substitue eating... they dont trust their body and dont want to eat when they are hungry so just drink coffee and chew gum. Some who overeat can find that chewing gum helps them to control thier eating... others just lke to have something to chew. Others are just addicted to chewing gum... etc
For me, i did havea period where i chewed gum for a while to keep myself from eating. But otherwise i just chew it now and again because i like it :) I usually chew gum after lunch in school to give me fresh breath :) And after eating something like onions or garlic. But otherwise not so much.
IT doesnt have ot be a bad thing to chew gum, however always chewing gum to replace food ISNT good and can be disordered. But also its not good for the belly and can lead to alot of bloating... so i would stick to a few pieces of gum a day for tbhose people.
