Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Do nothing for 2 minutes

Something which i came across today was this link:
 basically for 2 minutes, sit and listen to the waves. Dont move your mouse.... just sit and be still. Take deep breaths. I can say i failed several times, hahaha... but that was because i was going to copy the link and suddenly thought that i should share this site.

But i think that this is a really good site to go to if you find yourself beginning to panic, stress or anxiety. To just for 2 minutes sit and think, take deep breathes. Not do anything, not move your mouse. Not move..... I actually think i am going to start using it. Because its so easy to jsut get caught up in the moemnt, whether its anxiety, school stress, work, panic... you feel like everything is falling apart, you dont know what to do. Instead, go on the site. See if you can last 2 minutes... if you cant. Keep going until you can... or do it 2 times in a row for 4 minutes. Remind yourself that you will be ok.... take a quick 2+ minute break from everything.

Go to this post:Breathing and grounding exercises to get some advice on breathing techniques which can help. And all that combined, can help to destress you. To get a grip of what is going on.

Also this site: You can write your thoughts and from what it says, no one can read them... there is no log in, just writing. So that might be of help sometimes. :) If you dont want to write to me, that is :)

I hope this helps some of you :) Take a few moments just to breathe everyday, to log off and not think. But just breathe... clear your mind. Its so easy to get caught up in things and not see any way out or begin panicking unnecessarily.
