Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.
I am open and friendly, so dont be scared about writing a post or sending me an email at:

Breakfast time!!!

Its been a long time since i posted a breakfast picture ^_^ My breakfasts just havent looked good... ive mainly been eating my egg cake anyway which i am addicted to at the moment!!! Super yummy and leaves me feeling full for a long time which is important :) But today i had no more egg so instead i mixed quark with cottage cheese, coconutmilk, stevia and cinnamon & added almonds, sunflower seeds and applesauce :) & a coffee, apple and aloe vera drink!!!
As i mentioned in my previous post i have had constant bloating which really hurts... im sure many know the feeling and eating when your stomach is already in pain isnt always the easiest. But thats why i find things like yoghurt/quark and nuts is easy to eat as it doesnt sort of sit as a clump in my stomach... if you know what i mean. But my portion size is not what it usually is....

I want to say i love how many of you are commenting more :) I like being more interactive with my readers :)
And once again, let me know if there is anything you want to read about :) Ill try my best to write about it!!

  2. I've started commenting a lot more as it helps to feel like I'm really involved in the recovery process and it's nice to talk to people that understand. I may even stop being anonymous! :) x

    1. :) You shouldnt be afraid to comment!!

  3. Your breakfast looks super delicious!! :) it's my favorite meal of the day.
Some hair tips: don't use too much heat. Don't use too many products on your hair, stick to one shampoo, one conditioner etc. Air drying is best. Trim it regularly, or at least just trim it. I have a problem with this. And even though I have pretty long hair I have a lot of split ends :(. Use egg yolk, avocado, honey, yogurt in your hair and on your skin too. I think someone already suggested this ;). Never brush your hair when it's wet. Another thing which I didn't know is that sulfate&silicone are really bad for your hair. I stopped using shampoo&conditioner that contains them. Of course there are tons of things that you can find in products that are not good for your hair, but I feel like sulfate&silicone are the most common and really damage your hair.
Skin tips: moisturize your skin, even if you feel like you don't need to or have oily skin this is important. Especially your face. Exfoliate. You can use a scrub or coffee grounds. Just make sure whatever you are using on your face isn't too harsh, as the skin on your face is more thin and sensitive. There are also face brushes. I haven't tried them, but would like to. Wash your face every morning and evening/night and moisturize!! This is very important especially at night. Removing makeup before sleep is best to do too, though I guess it goes with washing your face, haha! As for shaving it's good to exfoliate your skin before you shave. Again, coffee grounds are your friend or a scrub. And don't forget to moisturize your legs after shaving.
That's all I could think of. Drinking water does wonders to skin and hair, but I think you already do that
I hope it's ok that I comment here and not on your August goals post.
When I started reading your blog I was really scared of commenting. Who could have thought, haha! But one day I just really wanted to post a comment, and I did. It was a little scary at first, even though I was anonymous, but now I usually comment at least once a day! So if anyone is afraid to comment, but wants to, don't be afraid! :)

    1. Thank you for all the great tips!! You shouldnt be scared of commenting either, even if i cant reply to all comments i do read them :) And sometimes others reply as well!
