Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

I am a generally happy girl who loves running, going to the gym and eating food!! Though my life has been very different.
I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia & purging tendencies & over exercising. I was depressed and self harmed. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
After alot of struggles, lots of ups and downs, suicide attempts, tears, anxiety, panic and never thinking i would be healthy.
I am now declared healthy from anorexia nervosia.

I have been blogging for 4 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I am happy and healthy and living my life. Going to school, meeting friends and trying to find myself in this world.

I write about my daily life, but also try to write posts about how it was when i was sick, advice and tips.

Answers (exercise questions)

1. How far/long does it take you for a walk? Do you use garnin swatch or something?
It all depends how i feel like... some mornings 5km, some mornings 10km (though thats very rare, only on the days i have lots of energy)... but usually either the 5km route or the 7km route. How long.... depends 40-80 minutes.
   I bought a polar watch in 2012 and used it that summer but since then i think ive used it like 3 times, hahaha!! I dont really care about calories burnt or any of that, i used it once and was shocked at the amount i do burn (if you can trust those watches!) so that made me increase my food intake and since then i havent used it :) I dont see the point, i dont want my workouts to be related to calorie burn, to me that is not a healthy thing.

2. When you are at the gym doing exercises for the arms/upper body what do you do and can you name some exercises without using weights?

Well i divide the muscle groups into: biceps & triceps, shoulders, back & chest (and then i have legs and if i feel like it core.)
  Exercises to do without weights: push ups, tricep dips, tricep push ups, and if you use heavy books or bottle of water you can do tricep kick backs, bicep curls, shoulder press, side raises, front raises, front rows etc

3. do you think that 1kgweights work for beginners? What kind of exercise can i do with them?

Sure... but it wont take you long until you realise that you need to increase. There are MANY exercises you can do, like some of them i mentioned aboce.

4. Di you feel hungry when you get up in the morning? bc i often do not an think its bc i ate to much the other day....but of corrse i have breakfast nevertheless!

No i dont always, thats why i like going for walks before breakfast as i dont always feel hungry (I always eat a big snack c.a 20-30 minutes before i go to bed so its like im still full) but of course if im going to school or something i eat breakfast anyway :)

5. Do you have sportclass at school?

Not this year, last year and the year before i did.

6. How much do you pay every month for the gym?

c.a 250kr (so 25 euro)

7. do you drink pepse max every day?

Nope, rarely.... maybe once or twice a month, not much more than that. Only if i crave it, but i prefer drinking water, tea, coffee or an aloe vera drink :)

8. how many rest days do you have a week?

Minimum one, but some weeks 2 others 3... all depends how im feeling :)

9. Do you skip the morning walk at these days?

Yes on rest days i dont go for morning walks :) Though short walks with Daisy i need to do everyday as im in charge of her walks.

10. Do you and your mother sometimes tak about the hard times at mando and your ED? Do you think trhey still fear a relapse?

Yeah sometimes and she always says she is so proud of me and how far we have come. How i am such a different person now and she is so proud of me for helping others, for using my past experience and making something good out of it :)
  No not that im aware of. She has never said anything like that, i mean she doesnt question my exercise or my diet. Before she used to ask me how it was going wtih exercise, if i was resting enough etc but now she knows and trusts me :)

11. what about this guy you kind of dated?? :-))

  Hahah yeah we're still in contact, but he works everyday from like 8 or 10am to c.a 7pm and as im in school its hard to find time to meet and now he has become sick. So we're going to try to meet next week, though its still very uncertain, no labels or anythign :) Im just taking it as it comes!
