Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Wednesday Morninng

Good morning :)
Ive read all your comments and questions, so i will try my best over the next week or two to answer them all :)
So thank you all for taking the time to write your comments!! ^_^

Wednesday today, and no hospital!!! It felt so good to not have to wake up around 5am, but to sleep until 8.30!! And then to eat breakfast :) hahaha Small luxeries ;)

Breakfast this morning was egg white oatmeal, cottage cheese & jam & coconut milk and an egg!

Soon its Midsummer (on Friday!), and i still havent made up my mind what i am going to do... i have about 5 options to choose from. And i am so undecided... not sure whether i should just pick from a hat or just randomly choose.
I amnt so keen on any ideas, making it harder to choose because i dont know which option will be better than the other?
I dont even know what i will wear!!! ^_^

I have celebrated Midsummer in Sweden since 2010, and each one has been very different!
2010: Very sick & depressed (had just moved to Sweden)
2011: Was an inpatient at Mando but got to spend the day with my family celebrating. I had an ok day, but got so much anxiety when it was time for dessert so i had to go and be on my own. & My meal times got all messed up.
2012: My parents were away, got drunk with a friend and did stupid stuff
2013: Out in a cottage with my family, the best Midsummer ive had. I enjoyed all the food, had a good day etc

And this year....I hopefully it will also be good :)

  1. What is Midsummer? I'm from Australia and we don't celebrate this.

    1. I'm gonna strike into this gap here.

Midsummer is a non-religious festival/free day which is based on celebrating - just like the title says - the very middle of the summertime in the northern Europe. I guess it isn't anywhere else then (...Iz?), not sure if it reaches even to Germany.

Anyway, it takes place in very near of the days when the sun barely sets at all and therefore the daytime is at its longest.

I hope Sweden has richer legacy of celebrating midsummer than we do in Finland, though! Here it is practically just another reason to go drinking (though we do have the bonfire tradition as well).

Yet I still love the midsummer even for myself :) Beautiful time.

    2. well in denmark we usually make a huuuge bonfire as well and friends and families gather around it to sing, drink, eat snacks etc. besides we burn a "witch" on the fire - according to old tradition and myths she flies to germany and thus the evil spirits go away. at least i think that is what danes used to believe once. silly but rather fun tradition :)
