Life without Anorexia

My motto is

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Friday evening

Today i have not done much at all, in fact today has been one of those days where ive sort of been longing until tomorrow, not that i have any plans for tomorrow. But its just been one of those days.

My friend came over today, and we were both feeling tired, so we were tired and anti social together... i.e when you can jsut sit silent in the sofa together, both on your phones but its not weird or awkward silence... because you like it that way. Knowing that you are there with someone else, but can still sort of do your own thing!
   So thats pretty mcuh what i did all afternoon... of course, we tried to make plans for summer as well... though we didnt come so far in our planning!! ^_^

This evening im on my own, so what better way to spend my evening alone than with a movie and snacks? And my snacks of choice are Daim ice cream, popcorn (X2) & a warmed up questbar.
    Ive never been a huge ice cream fan and if i eat ice cream i prefer it to be B&J, but you know what... this ice cream was super yummy. Eat one spoonful, and you are garanteed to end up eating half the tub (Yes, i eat right out of the tub... Aint nobody got time for a bowl!!!)


  1. what was your dinner like today? In hot summer weather like this I find that my body does not crave a proper hot 'dinner' at all - instead, all i want is snacks like ice cream, smoothies, yoghurts etc! Do you feel the same? :) J

    1. It was whole grain pasta, quorn meatballs, brocollie and cottage cheese :) When its really hot i can feel like that... like all i want to eat is salad. And its common to feel that way when its hot outside, thats why when you go on warm vacations, you can end up eating less than normal as you jsut dont feel as hungry. You also feel more tired. Its good to try to eat a proper dinner.... but maybe you just eat less and eat more for a night/afternoon snack, and things like smoothies, ice cream etc

    2. **I mean eat a little less for dinner, and more for snacks....

    3. That's exactly what I'm feeling - more tired (sleepy!!) and smaller appetite. So I'm eating more frequently instead of having big meals to keep myself energised (awake!!) and to make sure I'm eating enough :) J

  2. hey izzy. trying a quest bar for the first time... what flavour do you recommend?

    1. chocolate chip cookie dough or cookies and cream. Or even cinnamon roll or double chocolate chunk.... All depends what flavours you like? :)
