Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Blogs & Youtube channels i follow

What are your favourite Blogs and Youtube channels?

I dont follow so many blogs, or i mean i do follow some recipe blogs but i dont really read their blogs, i just sort of bookmark the recipes for later (^_^), and then i follow 1 or 2 people i know and the other blogs i follow are more fitness blogs.
And for Youtube i dont follow so many either but my favourites are Jenna Marbles, II Superwoman II, BroScienceLife & the Ellen Show :)

If you are looking for more recovery motivation blogs, then i dont really follow any of those. But these are some of the blogs i follow - Most are in Swedish! haha

  1. Thanks for sharing! The 'Amada's Eat' blog seems interesting, unfortunately google translate is not the best translator in the world! I realised she has a similar 'flying birds' tattoo as yours, is it just a coincidence or does it symbolise anything (e.g. ED-recovered)? J

    1. Hahah, no... i love her blog though - i know her personally. We went to Mando at the same and still have some contact today :) I love her way of writing, as she writes about health and fitness and also helps others suffering from an ED!
I dont think so... or i guess it does have to do with freedom... freedom from your past :)

    2. That's what I had guessed, because she mentioned Mando in her blog too! I thought you didn't have many friends in Mando, had you guys been friends from the very beginning or did it start with suspicion/competition between each other (because of the ED 'competitiveness/jealousy')? Did you get the tattoo together?
Sorry if the questions are too personal - you don't have to answer if you don't feel comfortable answering!

    3. No i didnt have many friends. It was the very beginning (2010) when i met her and she was only there a few weeks before she left... and its only in the past year that we've had more contact again :) No it wasnt because of competition... when i first got to Mando summer 2010 there were only a few people as inpatients, but also because we were pretty much the same age and in the exact same position - she came from Finland, i came from Ireland... we both felt extra lonely, though i never did much talking there. But we played card games together.

No... she got hers a few years ago, and i got mine last Autumn :) I knew she had bird tattoos as well, but my Freedom tattoo and birds was what i wanted, and the bird symbolize, flying and freedom and i think they are super pretty!

    4. Thank you for the reply, it's awesome seeing you recoverers are helping others (by blogging) after going through the some kind of hell (ED)! You should form like a 'Scandinavian Recoverers Association' haha ;-)
