Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

If you have any questions leave them in the comment section as i am much quicker at answering there, otherwise you can always send an email: lifewithoutanorexia@hotmail.com

Answers part 2

How old were you when your parents broke up? Was it hard for you? If its to personal its ok
I was very young, like 5 or somethign.... i dont actually remember it. My parents lived together for a while even though they werent really together anymore. My sister says she rememebrs the arguments. I dont really... apart from one Christmas when i was around 4,5 years... and i went out to see what was happening and they were putting the christmas presents under the trees and arguing about something, but it was then i went into my sister and told her that Santa wasnt real. So i was very young when i found that out.
I dont think it affected me so much that my parents split up, i think it affected my sister more. And she hated having to travel to visit my dad every weekend, but i liked it. As i enjoyed spending time with my dad and was more of a daddys girl :) But i think subconsciouly it affected me alot... and was one of the reasons i developed my ED. I felt i had no control.
But it was for the better that they split up, they werent happy together. And now both my mum and dad have found new partners, and i am happy for both of them :) And i got a step brother out of it, who i love to bits!! So i am not upset about it :)

You once said you do not want to say your age. Is there a reason behind it?
I dont even know what my reason behind it is anymnore... before i never said because i wanted to be as anonymous as possible... i.e no pictures of me, not my real name etc... but now i mean i am friends with some of my followers on FB etc and many do know my age anyway :)
For those of you who dont... well Thats a mystery ;) I like to be a little mysterious and anonymous... keep you guessing :)

Do you earn a little bit of money with your blog due to the advertisement?

I cant answer this.... But you know, if you see an AD you like... feel free to check it out ;) ;)
*'Also, i think the ads are personalized to YOUR searches... so what comes up, i have no control over. Unfortunatly, but i am hoping that no weightloss adds or anything are shown. I can block adds, so if they do come up, just email me with the link of the add an i can block it :)

What do you think about vegetarian diet?
I answered this HERE :)

What's your favorite cake?

Hmmm, i love all types of cake :) Creamy, fruity, raw food, chocolat-y etc :) However i dont like cakes with custard or meringues... but otherwise i think i like most cakes!!

Black forest gateau has to be one of my favourites, or tiramisu.

Have you got a boyfriend?

Nope, im a single pringle :) Hopefully some day soon though :)

Hi Izzy! This might be a little personal, but I´ll ask anyway.
Did you have your period back before you started really exercising again?
What would be the first thing you would do if your period stopped now? (Assuming you wouldn´t be pregnant :) )

No i didnt. I didnt get my period until a few months after i reached my goal weight and i was allowed to begin exercising slowly, and then begin running and then later at the gym before i reached my goal weight (2-4kg away). However as i was doing quite alot of exercising when i first got my period it was irregular - though it had been gone for 4, almost 5 years so that wasnt so strange. But it took more than a year for it to become regular, and i know that it was due to alot of exercise. Though i didnt know that at the time, but ive done research and found that its not good to exercise too much until you get your period. Though i was never told that and didnt know that.

So if i were to lose my period now, i would definitely stop exercising. Or cut back to just light exercise like walks and yoga, a few times a week. Even if i love exercise, if i didnt have my period it would mean that my body isnt healthy. And the reason for that would most probably be too much exercise or not enough food. So i would rest more, eat more and wait and see.
So if you dont have your period, or you lose it... it could eb due to too little food, or too much exercise.
Remember that if you are a girl, having your period is a sign that your body is healthy, if you dont haev it. Take it easy with the exercise!! Otherwise you might not get your period at all.

Golly Izzy, good luck answering all of those questions (it would certainly take me ages) but just to add to the mix: would you consider trying Vegemite on toast with melted cheese and/or avocado? Done properly it will change your life ;-)

Hahah, thank you :) Im doing my best to answer all the small answers first and am going to work my way through the longer answer/post topics :)
Actually that sounds very yummy! Im not such a fan of melted cheese, i prefer cheese just as it is, but im sure that with cheese & avocado that vegemite might actually be good :) Hahah, though i dont want to risk buying a whole vegemite tub and not like it....  :)
But im up for trying new things ;) Hence why i eat some pretty weird combinations!!! :)
