Life without Anorexia

My motto is
'Dont let the sadness of your past & the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present'

My life at the moment is completely different to how it once was. I spent 5 years sick with anorexia nervosia and depression as well as struggling with self harm and overexercising. I spent 2 years in different treatment centres.
And since 2012 i have been declared healthy from my eating disorder.

I have been blogging for 7 years, and my whole journey is written in my posts. I now represent healthy and happiness. I want to show anyone struggling that it is possible to recover, no matter how hard it may seem.

I now blog about recovery, my life, veganism and positivity!

Hello :)
Today its a very late 'personal' update, but ive had quite a long day today. First it was school followed by the gym (it felt soooo good today! Even if i felt tired at the beginning, by the time i left i was just smiling!) and i didnt come home until 5pm. And then i ate a snack while beginning to reply to all the emails in my inbox, and i can say I had quite a lot. Ive just sort of let it all pile up recently as i havent had time to reply. And it feels good now when i dont have any unread messages :) So if you have emailed me and havent got a reply, email me again!
And after that i began with school work and im just eating dinner now, 8.30pm which will be followed with dessert :)

People often ask me how i manage to get everything done, school, gym, school work and then those who know about my blog and emailing as well. But its all about planning and prioritizing. I mean school and school work comes first, so when i feel i have absaloutly too much school work then i can take a day off from school just to get work done, but also i spend my breaks in school getting work done, as i know i want to have time to workout as that is my stress reliever, it makes me feel good! But of course, times when i dont have time to workout or too much in school, then i dont work out. And with emailing and my blog, that comes second. I do that when i have time and try to make time to reply to emails at least once a week, and with my blog i often schedule posts through out the day!!! So planning is important!

Only 2 days left until the weekend!!!

  1. Hi izzy, it would be great if you could write some info about how you re- discovered a healthy exercise balance after recovery? It's still the bit I am struggling with (although I've cut out pretty much all exercise!), I'm itching to start running again but I don't want that to spiral back into obsession! Any thoughts on exercise after recovery and that balance would be great!

    1. Im going to try write a post about this as soon as i can :)

  2. That sounds like a really helpful topic suggestion as I'm currently struggling with exercise after recovery. Knowing when I want to keep going should I or should I stop. :)
